1. Project Title: X-Efficiency and Scale Efficiency of Middle-East Banks
Brief Overview: Dissertation project of M.Sc. Risk Management. This paper surveys
efficiency of banks specially operating in the Middle-East by applying frontier estimation
technique. The primary goals of this study are to explore the dynamics of the banking industry
in the Middle-East and identify the key trends dominating the industry. Stochastic frontier
approach is used to measure the cost efficiency of banking operations and utilizing Bankscope
to derive data from the Middle-Eastern banks. Data has been analysed in STATA
2. Project Title: Singaporean Banking Efficiency
Brief Overview: Group coursework in Applied Banking module during 2nd
semester of M.Sc.
Risk Management. The paper analyzes x-efficiency of banks within Singapore. The research
also examines impact of external and internal factors on the efficiency of banking sector and
also the extent to which global financial crisis affected Singaporean banks. ‘FRONTIER
Version 4.1’ was used to determine the x-efficiency of the banks
3. Project Title: Financial Budgeting for Contract Projects Targeted by Non-Negative Bank
Balances

Brief Overview: Summer Internship project during MBA. This study gives an overview of the
financial budgeting process prevailing in the company with the objective of making efficient
use of cash resources and avoiding the occurrence of negative cash and bank balances. Other
than the internal factors of the company, this project also considers the macro-economic factors
of the country which in turn escalates the accuracy level of the study
4. Project Title: Factors Affecting Blood Donation
Brief Overview: Form of internal assessment in Marketing Research module during 3rd
trimester of MBA. In this project, the reasons behind reluctance of people towards donating
blood in Thiruvananthapuram, India are analyzed. Sample surveys were conducted; doctors and
social workers of leading hospitals and blood banks were interviewed. The results were
analysed using SPSS
