SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY 17 Day 2 Pray for those who have come to Christ but have not told their families yet. Pray for God to provide guidance and peace. Day 1 Pray for believers who are battling fear at the thought of the Islamic extremists throughout their region. Pray they gladly use their life and death to glorify God. WEEK ONE- Secret Believers Secret believers are those who have come to know Jesus but are from an Islamic background in which Christianity is not welcome. They operate on two levels: as a part of the Islamic society they were raised in—while also having the desire to follow Jesus and please Him with their life and conduct. This is a daily reality for Nasira living in North Africa. She relies on the provision of God for all she needs. She even has a heart to bring Bibles to other countries, despite the risky nature as a single woman. She requests that we pray for her and the women around her; that they stand strong in Him and have His protection. WEEK TWO- Facing Persecution Approximately 215 million Christians experience persecution around the world. That is nearly one in every twelve Christians in the world today. Four countries alone account for more than half of this total: India, Ethiopia, Nigeria and China. With persecution at unprecedented levels, we need to bring these needs before the Father. The victims of the Palm Sunday attacks in Egypt know this all too well. They are risking it all to live out their faith, so please join us to pray for persecuted believers. WEEK THREE- Muslims coming to Christ The Islamic State has infiltrated the Middle East and brought violence and terror in its wake. Before the war, it was rare that a Muslim would become a follower of Jesus. The war has changed that. The evil being done in the name of Islam has many Muslims doubting their beliefs. This was the case for Amir*. He shared with us, “About three months ago, I saw a vision of Jesus Christ in white. He said to me ‘I am your Savior. You will follow me.’” Praise God that He is saving many in this region. Please continue to pray that Jesus would save many more Muslims. WEEK FOUR- Persecutors We often pray for our dear brothers and sisters in Christ who are facing trials for their faith, as we should! We must remind ourselves to never forget to pray for their persecutors—since no one is too far out of God’s reach to save with His power. Pray for Saul-to-Paul conversions. Federico* was committed to being an armed fighter to persecute Christians in Colombia. He ordered church closures and threatened pastors. When he got injured, he was miraculously given a Bible, and he learned to love the Word of God! The gospel changed His heart, to the glory of God. 27 26 Day 3 In Eritrea, believers face the choice of migrating overseas or constantly avoiding detection. Pray that God would lead them to individuals who can help them, and pray for them to be a witness. Day 10 Pray for Eritreans who are undergoing torture for placing their faith in Jesus. Ramadan is often a time of increased interrogation, arrests and violence. Day 17 Pray for the hearts of Muslim leaders during the month of Ramadan— that they would have a real encounter with “Isa” and realize He is the Messiah. Day 24 An average of five churches are attacked each Sunday in Nigeria. Attacks typically increase during Ramadan. Pray for God to convict the hearts of those executing these attacks. Day 4 Many secret believers are forced to take part in Ramadan rituals. Pray for opportunities for them to share their faith. Day 11 Believers are on the run for their faith in Central Asia. Pray for God to protect them, especially during Ramadan. Day 18 Despite the conflict in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, people are coming to Christ. Pray that this would continue to happen during Ramadan. Day 25 In Syria, the civil war has gone on for six years now. Pray that God would save many from the Islamic extremist group, ISIS, for His glory. Day 5 Many Christians in the Middle East are forced to meet in secret. Pray for their protection and encouragement during this season. Day 12 Pray for Muslim Background Believers (MBBs) who may be affected by the Bangsamoro Basic Law in the Philippines. The intensity is likely to increase during Ramadan. Day 19 Many are coming to Christ in Iran because they see Jesus in a dream. Pray the Lord would reach more this way during the Ramadan season. Day 26 In Cameroon, Christians have fled Boko Haram as refugees. Pray for the members of this group to be changed by the beauty of the gospel and their need for a Savior. Day 6 New believers in Brunei live fearfully, hiding their faith. Pray that God would encourage these believers. Day 13 Maysan’s* husband is violently persecuting her and her daughter Munira* for their new faith in Christ. Pray that God would care for and restore their family. Day 20 Manal came to faith in Jesus, but her devout Muslim family was very angry at first. After years of diligent prayer, her whole family is now following Christ! Pray for similar conversions to happen. Day 27 Anything contrary to Islam is not permitted in the Maldives. Pray that God would work a miracle in the lives of those who are very set against the gospel. Day 7 Almost all Muslim Back- ground Believers must keep their faith a secret, and many experience anxiety during Ramadan as they feel pressured to participate. Pray for peace and courage for these secret believers. Day 14 Recently, a couple was nearly burned alive for attending church in India. Pray for the safety of Christians as they attend church during Ramadan. Day 21 Muslim Background Believers truly count the cost when they follow Christ; it may cost them their job, family or even life. Pray for believers to have peace and strength. Day 28 In China, Muslim Back- ground Believers have a difficult time meeting due to religious restrictions. Pray for communities and families to be open to the gospel and welcome it. Day 8 There is a secret seminary in Vietnam, training up students in their faith. Pray that God would keep them safe during their meetings, and for authorities not to notice the gathering. Day 15 Pray for the Christians who continue to be targeted by extremists. There is usually an increase during Ramadan, so we pray for God to change hearts. Day 22 Three believers are in prison in Eritrea for their faith in Jesus. Pray for them, as their faith means more to them than even their own lives. Day 29 In Central Asia, the government is using zoning laws to close down churches. Pray that God would allow believers to find favor and grace in the eyes of lawmakers and officials. Day 30 In northern Nigeria, Christian deaths due to attacks from Boko Haram have increased. Pray these terrorists would have Saul-to-Paul conversion during Ramadan. Day 31 On the final day of Ramadan, join us in thanking God for all He has done during this prayer campaign, and for the many who encountered God during this time! Day 9 Pray for believers whose faith has not been found out yet. As they know they could face humiliation or death if found out, pray that their hope would be deeply rooted in Christ. Day 16 Pray for justice and grace for Christians forced to pay fines equivalent to thousands of dollars for gathering for church services. This often increases during Ramadan. Day 23 There have been many in Algeria coming to Christ. Pray that these new believers would receive the right discipleship training, and pray that they would stand strong. 28 4 11 18 29 5 12 19 30 6 13 20 31 7 14 21 1 8 15 22 2 9 16 23 3 10 17 24 25 Pray for the Persecuted Church During Ramadan May 26 th – June 25 th
