‘At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ’ (Colossians 4:3) is a prayer request from the Apostle Paul. He was not thinking about himself in prison, but his concern was for the word, that it would not be bound. His request was that the gospel would be declared unhindered, with wisdom, clarity and power.

Are there times when we are tempted to think that if circumstances were different, opportunities would be better?

Let us rest in God’s providence and pray for grace to be effective wherever He has placed us. There are needs we would long to see resolved, and God is able. Let us not forget requests like this one in Colossians. Pray that doors for the word will be divinely opened, that the gospel will go out in power, and many souls will be won for His glory.

Lena Rigby, who has been working in the Midlands of Ireland since September 2014, leaves in December to return to Canada in preparation for

her wedding next June. We are grateful for her willing service and wish her and Caleb much blessing upon their future life and ministry together. We look forward to former workers Alistair & Yvette Park rejoining the work of the Mission from February 1; initially they will be working from their home base in the Leeds area.

We deeply appreciate everyone who prays for us and supports our work. Thank you, and may God richly bless you.

A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR FOR SCOTLAND

POINTS FOR PRAYER & PRAISE

Faith Mission & Missionary Training Home (known as The Faith Mission) is a charity registered in Scotland No. SC005119

In His goodness, God has given us an empty coffee shop on the estate on a ten-year lease, rent-free! This is a very timely provision, but we need wisdom and guidance to know how best to use it for the advance of the gospel in the community. It should become available in January.

As the gospel was preached, real life stories told and solos sung, there was a growing awareness that God was at work at Lochs Tent Mission. New people attended throughout the two weeks, including lots of young folk! There was a battle going on, but this turned to joy as some professed faith in the Lord and many shared how God had blessed them. We rejoiced with the local congregation who welcomed four new members during the communion weekend which followed. The work continues and we give God all the glory for what He accomplished at Lochs at His appointed time. Thank you for praying.

Praise the Lord for the many unconverted people who attended the mission at Ballyroney and for a man converted in the mission in Rosspark Hotel. Rejoice with us as we have just heard of a boy converted at our camp in 2014 who is really growing in the Lord. We thank God for His provision of the necessary resources and ask you to join us in praying for all needs to be met, particularly in the barren areas of the work.

THE EARLESFIELD TEAM are overwhelmed...

TREVOR & SANDRA MATTHEWS are rejoicing...

DONNIE & CATHERINE MACLEOD give God glory...
