Which Prayers are Honored before God?

All scripture is given for the inspiration of Gods word (2 tim 3:16) that we

do his will according to the laws of God rather than the commandments ofman (Mark 7:7).

Therefore when we pray unto God, how should we pray? Should we pray indeceit or in humility of truth? We will now read which prayers God honors.

When we do wicked in the sight of God, knowing the truth our prayers are anabomination before God. (Proverbs 28:4,9) Because many lack love in obeying Gods

laws we become lovers of our own ungodly lusts serving ourselves rather than God.

(Jude 1:17-21) Those that continue to do evil and not seek God, God know the intent ofevery mans heart and will accordingly which those who chose not to obey him.

    (Daniel 9:12-14)

    Psalm 119:142

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

God is righteous and just in all things, he commands us to be righteous through perfecting

his laws each day we are to be a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) enduring until the end.

(Matthew 24:13) The question now is how are we to perfect ourselves in Gods word?

In this life, we must endure all things yet having patience to wait on God to overcome our

afflictions. (James 5:7-12) Having patience is key to understanding Gods word so thathe may impart wisdom (Proverbs 4:2-5) to obtain understanding (Proverbs 4:7) of us

becoming perfect before God unto righteousness. (2 Corinthians 13). As servants of the

Most High God we are made to become perfect (Matthew 5:48) in all our works to do thewill of God. (Hebrews 13:20-22) And by us becoming perfect before God, we are less

likely to sin against God made holy unto the day of salvation.

    Jeremiah 17:5-8 (Trust in God)

5Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm,and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but

shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by theriver, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be

careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Which Prayers are Honored before God?

    Matthew 6:5-8 (Praying for Yourself)

5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to praystanding in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of

men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door,

pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall rewardthee openly.

7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they

shall be heard for their much speaking.

8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need

    of, before ye ask him.

    James 5:13-20 (Praying for Others)

13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over

him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he

have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

17Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it mightnot rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

    19Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

    20

Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall savea soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Which Prayers are Honored before God?

    Psalm 33:18-22 (Trust in God)

18Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his

    mercy;

19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

21For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

    Psalm 84:9-12 (Trust in God)

9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the

house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no goodthing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

    Psalm 27:10-14 (Forsaken by Parents)

10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

11Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

12Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up

against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the

    living. (Psalm 25:1-5)

14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say,

    on the LORD.

Which Prayers are Honored before God?

    Psalm 94:18-23 (Prayer for Transgression)

18When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

    19

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a

    law?

21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the

    innocent blood. (Mark 11:2526)

22But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own

wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

    Psalm 23 (Gods Protection)

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me besidethe still waters.

    3

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness forhis name's sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I willfear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfortme.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

    Proverbs 3:5-7 (Trust in God)

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Which Prayers are Honored before God?

7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

    Psalm 91 (Gods Protection)

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of

    the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisomepestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall

    be thy shield and buckler.

    5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth atnoonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not

    come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9

    Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thyhabitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou

    trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on

high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will

    deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Which Prayers are Honored before God?

    Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Seek God)

    11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto

    you.

13And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

14And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and Iwill gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you,

saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be

    carried away capt

    Isaiah 55:6-11 (Gods thoughts)

6Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him

return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he willabundantly pardon.

    8

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and

    my thoughts than your thoughts.

10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, butwatereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower,

    and bread to the eater:

11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void,

but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent

    it.

    Revelation 22:14, 20-21
