environmentally friendly products catering to most
requirements in the finishing materials industry. These
include; interior and exterior coatings, decorative
effects, levellers and fillers, tiling products,
waterproofings, EIFS, acoustic products, floor
coatings, repair mortars, screeds and more. Terraco
products are produced to strict Quality standards and
have been tried and tested in challenging climatic
conditions ranging from the tropical to the arctic.
INTRODUCTIONSpray applied plasters have been widely used in
Europe since the 1960S and is today one of the main
forms of plastering used in modern building
systems. Terraco with its Sprayplaster™ system is
one of the main producers of spray applied plasters
in the world. Terraco has over 25 years of plastering
experience - Sprayplaster™ is applied on millions of
square metres of walls and ceilings around the globe
every month.
Terraco Sprayplaster™ can be used on all types of
concrete surfaces, aerated light-weight concrete
elements and blocks, sandi cement render, fairface
concrete blocks, fairfaced and concrete block soffits and more. No key coat or hacking is required
as the system has excellent adhesion to even the most difficult of construction surfaces.
Terraco Sprayplaster™ is easy to apply and does not require highly skilled labour for application.
Sprayplaster™ is the ideal solution for fast-track projects or indeed for any other project - where
cost and time are important factors.

PRODUCTS
The system is comprised of 5 components;Sprayplaster™ Base Coat (BC), Sprayplaster™Cement Modifier (CM) , Sprayplaster™ FinishCoat (FC), Sprayplaster™ Washable (WB) andSprayplaster™ Lite.
Sprayplaster ™ Base Coat (BC)
Sprayplaster™ BC is an acrylic based, ready-mixedcompound with inert filler materials.Sprayplaster™ BC is formulated to be applied ona wide range of interior surfaces in coats up to10mm in thickness.
Sprayplaster ™ Cement Modifier (CM)
Sprayplaster™ CM is a cement based modifier
which when added to Sprayplaster™ BC gives theplaster added hardness and water-resistance. Withthis addition (proportion 1:1) the system becomeshighly suited for exterior applications and coatsof up to 1Smm per application are possible.
Sprayplaster ™ Finish Coat (FC)
Sprayplaster™ FC is a white, acrylic based, readymixed compound ideal for use on all interiorareas requiring up to 3mm coat thickness.Applying Sprayplaster™ FC removes the need for
any further wall fillers (putties, stucco etc) andprimers prior to painting. Only 1-2 coats of paintis required when using quality paints such asTerralux, Terramatt, Terralast or Terratop. When
applied to ceilings, Sprayplaster™ FC is typicallyleft uncoated - with an aesthetically pleasingtexture - eliminating the need for any furtherpainting work.
Sprayplaster ™ Washable (WB)
Sprayplaster™ WB is used instead ofSprayplaster™ Finish Coat in wet areas such askitchens, bathrooms and balconies where a higherdegree of water resistance is required.
Sprayplaster ™ Lite
Sprayplaster™ Lite is a light weight version of base
coat - in powder form. It has thermal insulationproperties and can be applied in single coats of30mm, making it an ideal choice for exteriorwork.

BENEFITS
COST & TIME SAVING
Sprayplaster™ saves time - a team of 4 applicators with one spray machine can achieve 600+ m' per day of finished
surfaces (skimcoating with Sprayplaster™) and 250-300 m' of finished wall surfaces (thick coat applications) subject to
layout and availability of prepared surfaces.
EASY APPLICATION
The high workability of the plaster makes it easier to apply and level the material - resulting in a higher quality finish.
HIGHEST QUALITY
The products are factory mixed. All ingredients are controlled and
subjected to strict quality control procedures ensuring consistency of
product and dependable quality.
FLEXIBILITY
Sprayplaster™ is a polymer based plaster which gives the product an
in-built flexibility not existing in traditional plaster - this factor helps
to reduce cracks.
NO CRACKS
The plaster is based on fillers which follow strictly monitored
particle size distribution curves - hence free from cracks.
WEIGHT REDUCTION
Sprayplaster™ is a thin-coat, light weight plastering system. This gives
substantial reductions in plaster weight - 10mm of Sprayplaster ™ will
weigh approx. 18kgl m'; a traditional plaster at the minimum
applicable thickness of 15mm will weigh approx. 33kg/m'. A weight
reduction of 45%.
NO KEY COATS
Sprayplaster™ does not require key-coats or rush coats.
NO CURING
Generally no curing is required. The applied surfaces only require
curing if Sprayplaster™ CM is added - and then only for 48 hours.
Traditional plaster requires curing for 7 days.
PERFECTADHESION
As the material is applied by spray machine, under pressure, adhesive strength is exceptionally high.
NO PRIMERS
Sprayplaster™ FC eliminates the need for stucco and primer prior to painting - saving time and money.
ATTRACTIVE TEXTURES
Ceiling applied Sprayplaster™ FC can be left with an attractive texture - and does not require any additional coating or
paint.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Sprayplaster™ products are all water based, applicator friendly and environmentally safe.

APPLICA TIONS

Surface Preparationa. Ensure the surface to be coated is clean and dust free.
b. Prepare the surface - ensuring all nails, tape, concrete drippings, binding wires and any other protrusions are removed.
Major substrate defects should be repaired using Terramix I Terraroc products or equivalent as applicable.
c. Fix fibre glass mesh, plaster stops and angle beads, guidance points etc as required.
d. Ensure that proper care has been taken to protect other work in the relevant area.
e. If necessary apply a coat of Terrabond SP. For example, when Sprayplaster TM BC and CM are applied on fairface
concrete, a priming coat of Terrabond SP is recommended.
Material Preparation
a. When using Sprayplaster ™ CM addition, mix 1 bag (25kg) of Sprayplaster™ CM with 4.5 Itr of water (using a
mechanical mixer).
b. Add Sprayplaster™ BC (25kg) and mix.
Application
a. Spray to a maximum thickness of 10mm.
b. Spray again if additional thickness is required.
c. Level and smooth using "T" angle aluminium profiles and 60cm scrappers.
d. Only when using the addition of Sprayplaster ™ CM to the Sprayplaster ™ BC, light mist curing should
be done 24 and 48 hours after application.
e. When utilising the full Terraco Sprayplaster ™ system
i. Apply 1-2 coats of Sprayplaster™ Finish Coat on top of Sprayplaster ™ Be.
ii. After 24 hours, lightly sand the surface and finish with 1-2 coats of paint.
CEILINGS
Surface Preparation
Prepare the surface - ensuring all nails, tape, concrete drippings, binding wires and any other
protrusions are removed. Check the level of the ceiling - rectify if necessary. Major substrate
defects should be repaired using Terramix or Terraroc products or equivalent as applicable.
Material Preparation
If required prepare Sprayplaster™ BC and CM according to a,b (walls). However, for interior
ceilings Sprayplaster™ BC alone is usually sufficient - depending on substrate and conditions.
Application
a. Apply Sprayplaster™ on the construction joints.
i. Use fibre glass mesh if required.
b. After allowing to dry - apply 1-2 coats of Sprayplaster™ Fe.
c. Apply 1 coat of Sprayplaster™ FC and leave spray texturing· no paint required.
i. Alternatively, paint (primer not necessary).
Sprayplaster™ is a versatile system, suitable for use on a number of different types of substrates and surfaces including
concrete block soffit, fairfaced concrete soffit, fairfaced block walls, precast panels, ALC block walls, dry-wall partition,
polystyrene ceilings and more. Please consult your T erraco representative for further information on application techniques.
