New York dental meeting in 2016. He was also a

Dr. Prasad Musale is graduated from Bharati
Vidyapeeth Dental College & Hospital, Pune
in 1994. Furthermore, he completed his
Masters in Dental Surgery (Pedodontics &
Preventive Dentistry) in 1999 from
Government Dental College & Hospital,
Mumbai. He also completed his Diploma &
Masters in Laser Dentistry from Medical
University of Vienna, Austria in 2010.
Following his completion of educational
tenure, he established “Little Ones”
exclusive Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry
clinic in Koregaon Park, Pune in 1999-2000.
His research thrust areas are Paediatric
Endodontics, Microscopic Paediatric
Dentistry, Minimally Invasive Dentistry and
Laser Assisted Paediatric Dentistry. Under
the aegis of same he has published
numerous scientific papers in peer reviewed
National and International journals.
On the similar lines, he has been invited as faculty at various CDE programs internationally
and across the country. Recently, he has contributed for a Chapter “Child abuse and
neglect” in the fifth edition of ‘Textbook of Paediatric Dentistry’ by Dr Damle SG.

Dr. Vikram Shetty (FAM., MBBS., DNB., MDS., BDS.)
Dr. Vikram Shetty is a dually qualified Facio-Maxillary Surgeon and is currently the Director of
the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Craniofacial Surgery and the Head of the Department of Oral
and Maxillofacial Surgery of the A. B. Shetty Dental College. He is attached to the K. S Hegde
Medical College and A.B. Shetty Dental College, affiliated to the Nitte University. He has
acquired his formal medical and dental training along with a specialisation in Facio-Maxillary
Surgery. He has undergone extensive neurosurgical training and is now one of the few surgeons
in India operating on complex craniofacial deformities.
As head of one of the busiest craniofacial institutes in South India, Dr. Vikram Shetty personally
performs around 900 to 1000 complex facial surgeries every year. As part of the Medical
Sciences Section, he is also the Director of the Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship Program of the
Medical College and is in charge of training post-graduate students in Facio-Maxillary Surgery.
His department has a partnership with 'Cleft Children - International' and 'The Smile Train' that
help bring back the smile to countless children afflicted with the scourge of Cleft Lip and Palate.
Dr.Shetty has perfected the principles and techniques of contouring of the face to enhance
beauty and youth without the need for repeated surgical procedures. He hopes to bring these
surgical techniques within the reach of the common people.
As Head of the Cleft Centre he oversees the Naso Alveolar Molding (NAM) process and
protocols for around 40 primary cleft cases every month and his publications in international
journals on NAM have been recognised as the Gold Standard for the NAM technique.
