1. Recommended Computing Environment
Check if you can use the following recommended computing environment. Please understand that system
operation and support cannot be guaranteed if other than the recommended computing environment is
used.◆OS: Windows 10, macOS 10.9 or above
Example check method: Windows: From Start menu, right click on “Computer” and select “Properties.”
Mac: From Apple menu, select “About this Mac”
◆Browser: Internet Explorer latest version*, Google Chrome latest version, Safari latest version
*Example check method: From browser menu, select “Version information”
◆For internet Explorer, it may take a little time for the video to begin playing depending on the
computing environment.
◆Network: Broadband environment such as optical, CATV, etc. (actual speed 3 Mbps or faster)
◆If the connection speed is slow, such as with ADSL, wireless LAN, mobile phone
transmission, etc., it may take several minutes for the video to start playing.
◆When using your company in-house LAN, the video might not play correctly if there are
restrictions on file formats (mp4) or streaming.
◆Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 or higher
Example check method: Windows: Right click on Desktop and select “Screen resolution”
Mac: From the System Environmental Settings “Display” panel, select “Display”

2. Login Procedure
① Enter the email address that was sent to you
② Enter the password that was sent to you

③ Click on the [Login] button.

3. Take Training (1)
① Selecting the [Sessions] menu will display a list of training
that can be taken.
please finish the training within the recommended training period. A record will be kept of whether or not the training is completed within the recommended training period. Please note that training cannot be received after the training expiration date.

screen. They will be referred to during
the training, so download them before
viewing the video.
(If possible, print them for easier

3. Take Training (2)
You can use "pause" for your first time watch,
but cannot use fast-forwrd (skip). Watch
directions and follow through the lecture.
You can use fas-forward from the second time.
You can download teaching material
used in lectures from "Session Material
Download" button at the bottom.
※Do not read the material in advance,
since learning would be less effective.

Answers to other
exercises are referred
at the top when

Your answers are
saved in the server
where they can be
viewed by the
administrator and
instructor.
If you do not enter an
answer, it might be
deemed that you did
not do the exercise,
so if you do not know
the answer, write “I

in time since how
long you spent would
be recorded. ⑤ Click "Send

when finished.

4. Ask the Instructor a Question (1)
This system allows you to ask questions about the training contents.
*Please note that no questions regarding the contents and results of the assessment are acceptable.
Questions regarding system trouble should be directed to the person in charge stated in Section 8 under
“Contact Precena”.
*It might not be possible to use the “Ask Questions to Instructors” function depending on the purchased
training plan. In this case, the [Ask Questions to Instructors] button will not function even if clicked on.

the subject of

⑤ To display a list of questions asked by the trainees, select the [Questions] menu.
⑥ From the list of questions, select the question you want to see. The question and answer will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

5. Take an Assessment (1)
① When the [Assessments] menu is selected, a list of assessments that can be taken is displayed.
② Press the [Take] button of the assessment you want to take. *As far as possible, please take the assessment by the
Recommended “Take-by” Date.
The system records whether or not the assessment is taken
within the recommended date.
* The list of training contents will not be displayed when the purchased plan only includes assessments.

5. Take an Assessment (2)
Assessments can only be taken once.Do not view other websites or close the browser until you have answered and sent all your answers to all of the questions.
The remaining assessment time will be
displayed. Please finish within the allotted
time and press the “Submit Your Answers”
button.
③ Select the No. of the problem to be answered.You can go back and change an answered question.
④ Select one answer.
⑤ After selecting a question, click on [Go to Next Question]
You can place a check for “Review later” to
change the tab of that question No. to orange to
remain you to review that question later.
The tabs of
answered questions
are greyed out.
⑥When finished with all of the questions, press the “Submit Your Answers” button.
This button cannot be pressed until all of the questions have been answered.

* If the results report is not displayed even though the assessment was taken, refer “Contact Precena” at the
end of this manual and contact us about the problem.
① Selecting the [Assessments] menu will display a list of the taken assessments.
② Press the [View Results] button to display the results report.

address, password (Ex: Asks
for user name and password).
Your computing environment
may be applying a security
function.
➢ This information is not requested by the
Precena Learning System, so ask your
organization system administrator about the
information that should be entered.
When the login information is
entered, a message saying
the email address or
password is incorrect is
displayed.
The email address or password
has been entered incorrectly.
Or the incorrect email address
or password is being used.
➢ If you received your password by e-mail, you
can copy and paste it. Be careful not to include
space at the end of your password when you
copy it.
➢ If you forgot your password, click on [Forgot
Password] and enter your registered email
address to reset your password.
Other than the above - ➢ Use the contact information at the end of this
manual to contact Precena.
If you cannot log in at the initial screen, please take the following countermeasures depending on the situation.
9. When You Have Trouble (System Troubleshooting)
◆First, make sure the usage environment satisfies the conditions stated in “Recommended Computing Environment” on page 3. If the conditions stated in “Recommended Computing Environment” are not satisfied, the problem might be solved by providing the recommended environment.
◆If the problem occurred even though the “Recommended Computing Environment” is satisfied, please check the following and take the appropriate countermeasures.
1) Cannot log in

2) Cannot view the training videos

Version of browser you use
may be old.
➢Update your browser. Refer to recommended
usage environment (p.3)
The video does not begin
playing.
Loading of the video might
have failed due to temporary
network conditions.
➢Load the video again to see if it begins playing.
➢If the video does not begin playing even after
reloading, use the contact information at the end
of this manual to contact Precena.

If the training videos cannot be viewed even after clicking on [View] button from the [Sessions] list, take
the following countermeasures depending on the situation.

3) Cannot take the assessment

The button [Apply to Retake Assessment] is displayed in the list of assessments and the assessment cannot be started.
The assessment was interrupted before being completed, such as by pressing the browser reload button.
➢Press the [Apply to Retake Assessment] button to ask to retake the assessment. You will be contacted by email when it is possible for you to retake the assessment.
Other than the above - ➢ Use the contact information at the end of this manual to contact Precena.
The assessments will not be displayed when not included in the purchased training plan. If you cannot take the assessment even though it is included in the purchased training plan, take the following countermeasures depending on the situation.

4) Cannot open PDF fileIf the PDF file will not open even when [User’s Manual] or [Teaching Materials] is clicked, take the following countermeasures depending on the situation.

The plugin (Adobe Flash
Player) might not be installed,
or the version might be out of
date.
➢In stall the latest version of Adobe Flash Player
in your browser. (It can be downloaded from
here http://get.adobe.com/jp/flashplayer/ ).
➢Right click on the PDF link to save the file
before opening it.
