Predicting Products of Single Replacement Reactions
A single replacement reaction will ONLY OCCUR if the reactant that is a SINGLE element is more active than the element in the compound that it is replacing.
Will Chlorine dance with Zinc and leave Hydrogen?
Note: Chlorine will only dance with Zinc if it is MORE ACTIVE than Hydrogen!

DOUBLE REPLACEMENT REACTIONS
• A double replacement reaction can sometimes result in a precipitate as a product (a solid formed by the reaction of 2 aqueous reactants).
