80 routes identified in 16 different major cities in US, Canada and Germany

Cities selected based on combination of population, traffic conditions, and relevance

Routes incorporate major highways where traffic volume and variability are high

Routes vary in length from under 30 minutes to over 2 hours

Execution

Each route was driven an average of 27,000 times between 6am and 10pm over the course of 2 months

Prior to departure, an estimated time of arrival (ETA) was calculated using predictive traffic, historical traffic patterns, and real time traffic speeds

After each drive, the difference between each ETA and the actual drive time for that trip was measured
