The DME Concept Level Course is developed at Civil Aviation Training College, Allahabad, India with the purpose to equip the CNS maintenance personnel with the conceptual knowledge and skill on DME, including functional description block level of the various DMEs used in Airports Authority of India (AAI) and to explain the standards and recommendations given by ICAO.
DME Concept Level Introduction to DME, Communication Principles, Concepts of DME, ICAO specifications and terminologies, functional description with block diagrams of DMEs used in AAI (AWA/GCEL, ASI, THALES) specifically AWA/GCEL models in brief.
Communication Principles in relations to DME (Chapter- 2 of DME Concept Level) is covered in the relevant portions of Communication Principles (General) Volume.
