Dear Mr. Henderson:
Re: 445 Kingsway
TAMS Schedule
Bunt & Associates were retained to provide a Transportation Assessment and Management Study (TAMS)
for the proposed redevelopment of 445 Kingsway, Vancouver BC. The redevelopment would result in the
addition of 104 residential condo units to a redeveloped auto dealership and vehicle service amenity.
The City has asked that weekday traffic counts wait until the school season has started; hence those
counts are now scheduled for September 15, 2015. We expect have a draft of our report ready for Core
Projects by September 18, 2015.
The study will follow the City of Vancouver’s 2008 Transportation Assessment and Management Study
Guidelines for Consultants document. Bunt has confirmed the TAMS scope with City staff. Parameters of
the TAMS document are described below:
The study will include analysis of weekday PM peak hour and Saturday mid-day peak hour periods.
Study area intersections to be examined with Synchro 8 software are (also illustrated in Exhibit 1): o Kingsway & St. George Street, o Kingsway & Site Access, o St. George Street & 12th Avenue, and o St. George & Site Access.
Two time period scenarios: Existing conditions, and Existing plus Development.
The TAMS will review on-site vehicle and bicycle parking supplies.
Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies for the development will be provided.

**No Saturday peak hour data in ITE Handbook hence same rate as Weekday PM used. High-rise rate is same for
Weekday PM and Saturday peak hour.
Site access, loading and internal circulation will be examined. Attention will be provided to
parkade ramp design at the site entrance, where the residential access ramp splits off from the
access to the commercial parking to ensure that all movements can be completed safely.
