Premier League Drama By Daniel Waldram There is always much drama in the premier league, there are more shocks and twists in a single game of football than there is in a coronation street omnibus! During this season in the premier league there have been so many twists and turns, that you really could call this a roller coaster ride! Some of the score lines have been nothing short of a miracle; Man United 82 Arsenal, Man United 15 Man City. Manchester City have been a joy to watch this season, they have imported some brilliant players into their squad, with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Pizzaro and Samir Nasri etc. They have adopted a new fast paced, fantasy football style with all their players being fast with great skill. They have a tall, yet strong back four and their goalie Joe Hart, in my opinion, is the best keeper in the world. Manchester United has been fairly inconsistent this season, and I think it is no one’s fault but their own. They have bought many new high quality young players, who one day could be, world beaters. But, over the last 10 years they have heavily relied on their veteran players like Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Edwin Van Der Sar. All of these players are about or have now retired from football, and they have tried to replace the whole team in one season, with the new younger generation. I believe that they need to try and sign already top players on 3 year contracts and try and resell them at the end of their second year, or renew their contacts. I have been impressed with two of the 3 newly promoted teams; Norwich and Swansea. Swansea play very technical, extremely high paced passing football, they are an absolute pleasure to watch, and I believe it is all down to their manager Brendan Rodgers, other managers take note. He has adopted a 433 formation, and the players he has signed, on a low premier league budget I might add, have complimented their style of play. They have signed one of the best goal keepers in the world and they have slapped a £20 million price tag on him.

Premier League Drama By Daniel Waldram

There is always much drama in the premier league,  there are more shocks and twists in a single game of football than there is in a coronation  street omnibus!

During this season in the premier league there have been so many twists and turns, that you really could call this a roller coaster ride!

Some of the score lines have been nothing short of a miracle; Man United 8‐2 Arsenal, Man United 1‐5 Man City.

But, over the

last 10 years they have heavily relied on their veteran players like Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Edwin Van Der Sar.

He has adopted a 4‐3‐3 formation, and the players he has signed, on a low premier league budget I might add, have complimented their style of play. They have signed one of the best goal keepers in the world and they have slapped a £20 million price tag on him.

In conclusion, I think that Manchester City will win the premier league this season due to Manchester United’s lack of experience within the team. And I think that teams from the Championship downwards should look at Norwich and Swansea as role Models and should copy their example.

Their back four are also quite strong, but I think that this is the area which they need to improve on. Their midfield has one defensive midfielder in the middle and two playmakers either side of him, And finally, their best line, the forward 3 are Nathan Dyer, Scott Sinclair and Danny Graham. On the wings they have Nathan Dyer and Scott Sinclair, small, nippy, extremely fast and extremely skilful and they both know how to score. And Graham is very useful in this squad as he is tall and is a target man and he feeds his wingers with the ball so that they can run at the defence and he too can slot the ball home. They are showing the rest of the premier ship how football should be played.

And Norwich has shown everyone, that there is as much talent hidden in the lower leagues that had not been found. They sent their scouts into the lower leagues and they found many good cheap players. They were able to buy these players for a low price as, to the lower teams, that is a lot of money to them, and they can offer them low wages too as the wages are already low and they will accept lower contract terms. They have also found an experienced talisman in Grant Holt. He was always a very good player but seems to have flourished under Norwich as he is very powerful, but very slow and because Norwich is a young team, his team mates will make up for his lack o0f running and they will feed him the ball as they how he is very strong and knows how to blast it into the net.
