La medalla Caldecott (Caldecott Medal), és un premi literari
atorgat anualment per l'Association for Library Service to Children a l'artista del llibre infantil americà més insigne publicat en l'any, en honor a
l'il·lustrador anglès del segle XIX Randolph Caldecott.
Juntament amb la medalla Newbery, és el premi més
prestigiós per a llibres infantils americans.
Entre els premiats, destaquen alguns tan emblemàtics com
com Allà on viuen els monstres, de Maurice Sendak o Un dia de
nieve, reeditat per l’editorial Lata de sal.
