Entries must be accompanied by a cover sheet stating the number of pages, what shows and how many dogs per show. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted for Fax entries. Credit card information (Credit Card number, expiration date, and cardholder name) must be on cover sheet. Note: Visa and MasterCard users – You must include the 3-digit security code that appears above your signature on the back of the card. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS REGARDING CORRECTIONS OR CHANGES TO ENTRIES: Corrections other than the specific changes listed in Ch. ��, Sec. 6 (i.e. sex of a dog, transfers between age specific classes, and “move-up’s” to BOB or BOV) are the only changes to the entries superintendents or secretaries are authorized to make after closing of entries. Owners are responsible for errors in the entry forms, regardless of who may make such errors. THIS RULE IS BEING STRICTLY ENFORCED BY THE AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ENTRIES CAREFULLY. Corrections to entries may be made by the Superintendent prior to the closing of entries if such correction is sub-mitted in writing. JUDGES AWARD OF MERIT: The Judge may select up to 4 of the superior quality specimens in addition to Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex from the intersex competition.
BEST PUPPY FROM THE REGULAR PUPPY CLASSES: To be selected from the first place winners in the Puppy Classes (6-9 mos. & 9-�2 mos.)
BEST VETERAN FROM THE VETERANS CLASSES: To be selected from the first place winners of all the Veteran Classes.
BEST FROM THE BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR CLASSES: To be selected from the first place winners of the Bred-By-Exhibitor Classes.
BEST HUNTING RETRIEVER: To be selected from the first place winners of the Hunting Retriever Classes.Non-Regular Classes (Involving multiple Dog Entries)
STUD DOG CLASS: For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be the owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed, or some other non-regular class.BROOD BITCH CLASS: For Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and shown in the ring with their Produce. Owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be the owner of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed, or some other non-regular class.BRACE CLASS: For two dogs that are similar in appearance, performing in unison and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace competitions must have a least one common owner. Dogs need not be entered in anther class. Brace Class must be indicated on the entry form. If more than one Brace is entered by common owners, the dogs comprising each Brace Unit must be designated “Brace #�, Brace #2,” etc.NOTE: As the judge’s decision in the Stud Dog, Brood Bitch or Brace Classes is based on the merits of more than one dog/bitch, no one of the dogs/bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class.

SWEEPSTAKESA Sweepstakes will be held in conjunction with this Specialty. Sweepstakes will be judged prior to the Regular Classes. All dogs and bitches entered in Sweepstakes MUST ALSO be entered in a Regular Class at this Specialty, at the regular entry fee. The Sweepstakes is open to all dogs/bitches who are at least 6 months of age and under �8 months of age on the day of the show. Champions of Record at the time that entries close are not eligible for the Sweepstakes. Entries must be made at the same time and on the same entry form as the regular classes, indicating in the space for “Additional Classes” your entry in Sweepstakes. HANDLER: The handler of a Sweepstakes exhibit must be either the owner, co-owner, breeder or a member of their immediate family as defined by the AKC as of the closing date for the show for which the Sweepstakes entry is being made.

– NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS –The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List.
• The AKC will collect a $1.50 AKC Event Service Fee and 50 cent Recording Fee for the first entry of a dog in all AKC licensed and member dog shows, obedience trials, and tracking tests. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Event/Recording Fees to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule. Ch.11, Sec. 2). In accordance with AKC Rally regulations, the AKC will collect a $3.00 per entry of dog Rally Event Service Fee. A show-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Recording Fees and Event Service Fees for AKC.
• CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS
• Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging.• Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish
any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.
• No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner’s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT.
• Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made.
• RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS.
• REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries.
• Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs.• ENTRIES WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on
entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify the Superintendent at (360) 683-1507 or email [email protected].
• LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children.
• Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.
• FAX ENTRIES – Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) 683-6654. This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). NOTICES TO EXHIBITORSMove-ups in Obedience and Rally are allowed, in accordance wtih AKC Obedience Regulations.There will be no refund for bitches in season in Obedience or Rallly.The show site will be available to Exhibitors starting at 6:00 AM Friday.Crating/grooming is available in the Santium Building starting at �2:00 PM Friday. The building will be
locked at ��:00 PM on Friday and re-opened at 6:30 AM on Saturday. All dogs must be removed after completion of Best of Breed competition on Saturday.
NO GROOMING ALLOWED in Hotel. Please follow the rules set forth by the hotel and given to you at check-in.
Please keep dogs on leashes at all times on the event grounds and at the hotel. No FLEXI-LEADS allowed on dogs in Show/Trial area. No retrieving training off lead allowed on hotel grounds or show site. There is a public park adjacent to the Fairgrounds that can be used for light training or exercising your dogs.
EXERCISE AREAS: Please observe the marked “Exercise Areas” and “No Dogs” areas around the hotel grounds and show site Handlers are expected to clean up promptly after their dogs. Pooper scoopers and refuse cans will be provided on the hotel grounds and show site.
PLEASE NOTE: All first place winners and major award winners are strongly encouraged to have a photograph taken by the official show photographer.
NOTICE: WAIVER OF RIGHTS – Owners and exhibitors maintain full responsibility for the security, supervision and safety of their dog(s). Animal behavior is unpredictable. The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club (USA), the American Kennel Club, the Linn County Fairgrounds, BaRay Event Services, Inc, R2 Agility, Comfort Suites and their members or employees shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or their children, dogs, or visitors. The Clubs and Hotel shall not be responsible for loss, injury or damage to their parties caused by exhibitors or their dog(s). The Clubs and Hotel shall not be liable for damage to motor vehicles in any effort to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to inadequate ventilation.
RALLY EXHIBITORS: Read Rally eligibility rules carefully. The determination of the eligibility of a dog in any Rally class rests soley with the person entering the dog. ALSO, Advanced and Excellent entries MUST include jump height.

PARKING INFORMATIONExhibitors may park in the exhibitors parking area by using the back entrance to the Fairgrounds. Signs will be posted. The area will be available at 6:30 AM on Friday & Saturday. There is no charge, but a Parking Pass must be presented when entering. Passes will be distributed in the Hospitality Room at the hotel. The general public and non-exhibitors must park in the main lot. The lot will be open at 7:00 AM on Friday & Saturday. There is no charge.

DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTERThis Trial is open to all Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers over the age of �2 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club or have obtained ILP numbers from AKC, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, blind or deaf dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance.
HEIGHT DIVISIONSThe following lists the required jump height for Preferred, and minimum height for regular agility classes.

OBSTACLESObstacles shall meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of AKC Regulations for Agility Trials.
MOVE-UPSMove-ups after entries close must be submitted to the Trial Secretary in writing by �2:00 PM PDT on Mon-day Sept. 26th, 2005. Include dog’s call name, registration number, owner’s name, class you are moving from, and class you are moving to. Send via mail, or email to [email protected]. No phone move ups accepted.
CLASSES OFFEREDAll levels of Regular and JWW agility, including the Preferred Classes will be offered. A complete set of rules for all classes is available from the American Kennel Club, 5580 Centerview Drive, Suite 200, Raleigh, NC 27606, or from the AKC web site. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to enter their dog in the correct class. The Trial Secretary cannot make any changes (except for move-ups as noted) after the closing date of the trial. Be sure to check your entry form carefully and make certain you have entered the correct class(s).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS• Conditional, unsigned, incomplete, illegible, telephone or telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Entries not
on official AKC form, or photocopies of AKC forms, without the agreement attached are not acceptable.• Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing
date, or in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by the Show Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee.
• Confirmation of entry and schedule of judging time will be sent to the address on the official AKC entry form after the closing date. If an exhibitor has not received a copy of the schedule at least seven days prior to the show, contact the Trial Secretary. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry.
• The NSDTRC (USA) and R2Agility assume No responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or spectators, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assumes no responsibil-ity for injury to any child not under the control of his or her parents or guardians.
• It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and /or chil-dren. Any exhibitor whose dogs and /or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee be asked to leave the Trial site. In such case, no refund or any fees paid will be made.
• All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area.• The safety of dogs is of primary concern. By entering the Trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are famil-
iar with the rules and regulations of the sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely.
• Please clean up after your dogs on the show grounds and at your motel site. We want to retain these facili-ties for future events.

HUNT TEST
DIRECTIONS TO THE TEST SITE
From the host hotel:�. Turn left onto hwy 20 then merge right onto Interstate 5 (north
towards Salem).
2. Travel north on I-5 for �9 miles then take exit 253 (Hwy 22), go left (west) back over I-5.
3. You will travel about 4 miles on surface streets through Salem, fol-low signs for Hwy 22W; take Marion Street Bridge over Willamette River and stay on 22W towards coast beaches.
4. From the Willamette River, travel �9 miles on Hwy 22 west then go right on Beck Rd. Beck is a gravel road marked by a green residen-tial street sign; however, there is a yellow road sign indicating the approaching turn. Just before you turn (ca. 0.5 miles), the road will widen to 2 lanes (a passing lane going up the hill), stay in the right lane.
5. Once on Beck go �.� miles then turn left onto property. There will be signs starting on hwy 22 at Beck Rd.
Notes: Driving time will depend on traffic, but allow at least � hour for the commute.
Returning to Albany: Route home is same back to Salem; once you reach Willamette River follow signs for I-5 south and hwy 22E. Take I-5 south (towards Eugene); in Albany, take expo/fairgrounds exit (Knox Butte). See attached map.
