Prepare For Cat 2016

INTRODUCTION

CAT (COMMON ADMISSION TEST) is an all india examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as entrance exam to select candidates for admission to various management programmes. Top 50 colleges accept the CAT scores.

CAT is divided into three sections :-

- Quantitative aptitude (QA) having 34 Questions

- Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR) with 32 Questions

- Verbal & Reading Comprehension with 34 Questions

The total duration of exam is 180 minutes & has 100 Questions

Eligibility Criteria

One must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disability(PWD).

Candidates appearing for their final year of Bachelor’s Degree & are awaiting for their results can also appear for CAT. If selected they will be given provisional admission,only if he/she submits his bachelor’s result on or before a fixed date set by the Institutes.

How to Prepare for CAT

In order to crack CAT, student should assess himself whether he is a good or an average student. He should assess the areas in which he is good & bad. Accordingly he should focus on area in which he is bad. He should prepare a timetable for everyday and should start following it.

The best way to prepare for a CAT is to evaluate himself in every 10-15 days by giving mock tests. One should make sure that you don’t make the same mistakes again and again while practicing at home or in online mock tests.
