• Observe registration processes of the best universities in the world and compare them to Koc University.

• Find out if the place of the registration process can be changed. -Gym? -Garden?

Select Research Participants

• User type: Geographical– People from Istanbul wont be as foreigner as

people coming from different cities. Treating those different groups in different ways could end up beneficially.

– Find out if people coming from outside İstanbul are having more difficulties.

• User type: Different Backgrounds– The school they come from affect the orientation

therefore grouping people from similar backgrounds would make the orientation easier.

– See if people from similar backgrounds (such as students of foreign schools of İstanbul) are having less trouble in orientation.

• User type: Behavioral- confused– Some students could be more confused through

the registration process. There could be an information desk so that much confused newcomers can use when they need help.

– Find newcomers that were too confused during registration and ask them if this could help them.

• User type: Behavioral- attention– Some students give more attention to the process

then others. Therefore these type of students know more about the process. Some don’t.

– Find newcomers that called the school or visited the webpage before coming to the registration. And compare them to the ones that have not.

• Start Specific: Would you prefer a registration process in which you enter the school, get your ID card and complete the process without working on any documents?

• Go Broad: Could you please tell me an incident you had during the registration process which comes to your mind first, when you think of the process?

• Probe Deep: Please imagine a moment when you get emotional (if you got emotional during the process) during the registration process. What was the reason?

• Start Specific: If you had a chance to change something in the registration process, what would it be and why?

• Go Broad: If changing anything about the process could have been in your responsibility, what would that be?

• Probe Deep: Please imagine that you could have one of these special powers: 1) Getting invisible 2) Having extreme speed 3) Copying yourself (having a duplicate). Which one of these three would you like to use during the registration process and when?
