Honoring MLK Day

Don’t fear the madness at the mall this season...

the Gift Shop has got you covered! Annual Great Family GatheringMore than 30 volunteers from PPMC celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday by reaching out to the community and helping host a party for the homeless and

disadvantaged. Volunteers helped with everything from cooking, setting up, and decorating, to greeting, serving, and entertaining a group over more than 5,000

homeless, giving them a Thanksgiving feast where they were the guests of honor.

Please help the People’s Emergency Center (PEC) create warm and happy memories for local families by contributing to PPMC’s annual Holiday Toy Drive. With your help, we can ensure that local families experience the joy and hope of the holiday. There are two ways you can contribute:

Sponsor a child: Help fulfill holiday wishes by purchasing items for a specific child. Sponsors will be given a child’s name, age, clothing/shoe sizes

and toys they would like to receive. To select a child from the list, or if you have questions about sponsoring a child, please contact Kim Hibbs at 215.662. 9104 or [email protected]

Donate a gift: Bring a new and unwrapped toy or gift for donation to the families at the PEC shelter. Donated gifts can be dropped off in the Administration suite, or you can call Kim Hibbs to arrange for your gift to be picked up. A list of suggested ideas for holiday gifts can be found in the e-Bulletin at http://news.pennmedicine.org/inside/presbybulletin/.

PEC shelters Moms and their children who are in emergent situations and/or homeless. Most arrive at the shelter in the middle of the night, with only the clothing on their back. Please consider sponsoring a child or making a donation this holiday season so children of terrible circumstances can have a wonderful holiday.

The Toy Drive runs through Monday, December 17th. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Penn’s Way 2013 CAMPAiGn TOTAlS

Thank you to all PPMC faculty and staff who contributed to Penn’s Way 2013!

With your help, PPMC contributions totaled $54,135 – far surpassing the goals we set. This is an outstanding accomplishment and a wonderful testament to how committed Penn Presbyterian is to helping others and the community.

Special thanks to those who volunteered to be Department Captains for the campaign. Your work increased the number of employees who participated, and the number of people in our community who will benefit from the money we raised.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated this year!
