Preschool Resource SuggestionsParenting: The Early Years by Les & Leslie Parrott6 sessions on Right Now MediaAs a Bible study, discover 10 Biblical traits that will make you a better person and a better parent. Then begin to intentionally pass on key traits to your kids.

It Starts at Home by Matt Chandler6 sessions on Right Now MediaChurch alone cannot teach kids, we must start at home. But many parents feel ill equipped to develop the faith of their children. In these six sessions, we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children.

Raising Kingdom Kids by Tony Evans6 sessions on Right Now MediaContains practical examples and illustrations to help parents grow kids’ faith, with specific instruction in the power of prayer, wisdom, love of God’s Word, getting through trials, controlling the tongue, developing patience, and the surrender of service.

Parenting With the End in Mind by Jayna Coppedge (Book)In the midst of day-to-day parenting, you become distracted from your long-term objective: raising responsible, courageous, godly adults. Changing your focus from what’s happening right now, to preparing your family for tomorrow provides your children the foundation for purpose filled life.

Preschool Play Da tesPreschool Play Dates are a great way for

preschool children and their parents to get

to know each other, build community and

have FUN! Last summer, playdates took

place at multiple parks and a trip to Mallard

Stables where parents

and children alike had a

wonderful time! These

playdates are also a great

way to ensure a long nap

in the afternoon (for you

and your little ones)!

We hope you can make it to one of these fun

mornings out of the house!

Skeeples N Lomes! by Greg Payne“Skeeples N Lomes! is a fun Dr. Seuss style parable that explains how leaders and parents must work together to influence the next generation for Christ. Skeeples (Church leaders) live to shine the light of truth into dark places. Lomes (families) are the world champions of unconditional love.”

Sticky Faith: Everyday Ideas to Build Lasting Faith in Your Kids by Dr. Kara E. Powell & Dr. Chap Clark“Nearly every Christian parent in America would give anything to find a viable resource for developing within their kids a deep, dynamic faith that “sticks” long term. Sticky Faith delivers. This resource is geared to spark a movement that empowers adults to develop robust and long-term faith in kids of all ages.”

Parents Rock- Tim Hawkins“Sure, the perfect, obedient family may be out there. But if your’s is like most, there are days where even you reach your limit! Tim Hawkins understands. Just sit back and let Tim sing you a few soothing songs about parenthood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67vDQ3l8ghI”

This year’s VBS promises to be incredibly fun and exciting as we are searching the visible and discovering the invisible. Kids will come together as Galactic Starveyors starting June 4 to learn about God’s creation, and His plan to rescue us from our sin. Best of all, FBC will be ready

to guide kids as Jesus changes their lives! Join us for the end of week wrap on Thursday, June 8, as we invite all families from the community (including parents!) to worship together. Please pray for all of the children to be impacted and for God to call leaders ready to grow His kingdom every night.

You may register your child or register yourself as a volunteer at fbcdecatur.org/ministries/children.

What exactly are we aiming for?Whether you’re starting a new family, leaving an old one, or wondering if it’s worth the effort at all - this message series will provide you with direction and hope!

What would happen if churches and families worked together to teach the next generation about God?
