A School of ExcellenceSaint Margaret Mary School is accredited through the state of Illinois and the Diocese of Rockford. The teaching staff is certified through the state. Our curriculum is based on state and Diocesan standards, and reviewed regularly. Saint Margaret Mary School has a long history of academic excellence.Students learn to live their faith through religion classes facilitated by faith-filled teachers. Additionally, students participate in classroom and all-school prayer, monthly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in our school chapel, weekly all school masses and numerous stewardship projects reaching out to the community at large.Classes at Saint Margaret Mary consistently score significantly above grade level on Iowa Assessments administered annually. The longer your child is enrolled with us, the higher their scores are above the average grade level.Graduates of Saint Margaret Mary School are praised by both public and Catholic high school teachers for their study skills, writing skills, topical knowledge and attention to their studies. Our graduates are frequent-ly named as Illinois State Scholars, National Honor Society members, and Valedictorians and/or Salutato-rians of their high school classes.
