TO OUR SPONSORS & DONORS,The Belles of Houston will be hosting our 9th Annual Belles of the Ball, A Masquerade: Unmasking the Stigma of PTSD, on Thursday, December 5th at The Crystal Ballroom at The Rice - in the heart of Downtown Houston. This event continues to grow annually building on the success of our previous years and definitely becoming known in our oilfield community as one of the MUST ATTEND events of the Holiday Season! With the help of our wonderful sponsors and loyal supporters, The Belles of Houston have raised over $320,000 for the Lone Survivor Foundation... providing veterans and their families therapeutic retreats and counseling for those suffering from PTSD, mild traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, and military sex trauma.

On behalf of The Belles of Houston, I am asking for your help in making this another successful event. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of our veterans! Generous donors like you are the key to our success and make it possible for The Belles of Houston and the Lone Survivor Foundation to continue to provide service members and their families the skills and resources necessary for their continued recovery.

The Belles are a federally recognized 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Your contribution is 100% tax deductible and we will provide a donation receipt for your tax filing purposes. If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Dunagin ([email protected] or 713-435-9176), Tracey Girouard ([email protected] or 713-876-5242), or myself to pledge your support.

Please see our sponsorship information below. We thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,Darci Vazquez ~ PresidentCell: [email protected]@thebellesofhouston.org

Meet the Belles& THE CAUSE WE SUPPORT

The Belles of Houston are an organization created to engage the power, wisdom and generosity of women within the Oil and Gas industry and to increase networking opportunities through philanthropy. This energetic and diverse network of women create a strong community outreach that focuses on fund raising efforts associated with sponsored events.

The Belles currently are dedicating their efforts to the Lone Survivor Foundation. We have raised over $320,000 for the Lone Survivor Foundation! Founded in 2010 by US Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell (Ret.), the Lone Survivor Foundation restores, empowers, and renews hope to wounded service members and their families through health, wellness and therapeutic support. In partnership, we fundraise annually to assist with the cost of operating their Crystal Beach, TX Veteran Retreat Facility.

With the help of potential event sponsors and donors like you, we hope to continue to make a difference in the lives of our veterans. The net proceeds raised from this event will go directly the Lone Survivor Foundation.

The Belles of Houston have selected The Crystal Ballroom for their holiday soirée. The Crystal Ballroom is a 1913 historic ballroom located in the heart of downtown Houston’s Rice Hotel. Originally the capitol of the Republic of Texas, this is one of Houston’s most unique and historic landmarks.

Brigadier General (TX) Connie McNabb DVM is a Veteran of 23 years of service in the United States Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard. She was the Chief of the Joint Staff for the entire Texas National Guard from 2009 through 2011 and was the Senior Medical Planner for all Air Force and Air National Guard Support to Texas’ Hurricane Season 2008.

As Chief of Staff, She was responsible for a $500 million budget and over 25,000 troops and personnel actively engaged in multiple overseas and homeland deployments and Contingency response operations. She represented the Guard in numerous State Agency and National Guard focus groups addressing the challenges of PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and Military Sexual Trauma for returning Veterans and their families as soldiers and airmen returned to their civilian lives, but were forever impacted by their experiences on the battlefield.

After retirement in 2014, Dr. Mcnabb studied at Texas A&M, Bush School of Government and earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. She actively supports Veteran organizations such as Lone Survivor Foundation and the VFW to overcome the current Veteran Suicide Epidemic and seek the methods and means to address the monumental challenges our Veterans and Military families face every day.

Texas called once more. She returned from retirement to command and re-organize several hundred medical professionals and troops in the Texas State Guard, Medical Component to become the essential medical manpower element to Texas’ Medical Evacuation Air Hubs during disaster. She was the Senior Officer for a massive, total force Air Evacuation Hub during Hurricane Harvey at Bush Intercontinental In less than 48 hrs, they were prepared to move 8000+ hospital patients by military airlift if the regional Hospital system called.
