HISTORY OF BERLIN CHURCH:

Last year after the Homecoming bulletin was printed we learned more about the 'History of Berlin Church l

The original deed for one acre of land at present location was dated September I. 1827.

Walter Clark, in his book A Lost Acadia (page 89), says that Bel lin Chu f ch was erected Ilat sOme da te in the 1830's II This is as close as we can get now to the original beginning of this church

The church must have declined, because we have records that in 1873 it was revived In 1877 the present sanctuary was completed and dedicated

The second deed for additional property is dated April 3,1924 It was evidently the work of J R. Collins who surveyed the new lot of 2.67 acres and made the plat which is attached to the deed

The church is now in the process of trying to get a third deed to provide additional land.
