We use the present perfect simple to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important.
It was the best meal I have ever had

Therefore, you cannot use the present perfect simple with specific time expressions such as:
yesterday one year ago,
last week, when I was a child,
at that moment, that day,
one day, etc.
![Page 5: Present perfect simple and continuous](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062218/587688551a28ab1b158b7949/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)

We use the Present Perfect Simple to refer to how much / many of something we have done
and how many times, so the emphasis is on the result of the action
I have just drunk two litres of water
![Page 16: Present perfect simple and continuous](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062218/587688551a28ab1b158b7949/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)

We use the Present Perfect Continuous to talk about something that started in the past, but may still be happening. It focuses more on the continuous action. The emphasis is on the duration of the action.
How long have you been working here?(you still work here)
I’ve been shopping all morning(I’ve just finished)
![Page 18: Present perfect simple and continuous](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062218/587688551a28ab1b158b7949/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
We use the Present Perfect Continuous for actions still happening now, specially with for / since

hours!

Both forms are possible, but … … do they have the same meaning?
