BLACK CAT

The folklore surrounding black cats varies from culture to culture. In Great Britain and in Ireland, black cats are a symbol of good luck. The Scottish believe that a strange black cat's arrival to the home signifies prosperity. Black cats are also good luck in Japan.

FIREPLACEPeople believed that evil spirits that night, ghosts and other monsters coming out freely to terrorize people. People made large bonfires to protect from them. These fires had their origin in sacred rituals of the feast of the sun.

Friday thirteen

In Spanish-speaking countries, instead of Friday, Tuesday the 13th is considered a day of bad luck, commonly referred to as 'Martes trece' (Literally translates to: Tuesday thirteenth)

Halloween night

According to some legends, witches gathered twice a year: On April 30, and on October 31, the eve of All Saints.They came at this appointment mounted on broomsticks.
