Emeraudinne is a business of high quality jewelry that perfectly com-bines the emeraldine with craft ele-ments that are naturally extracted.We work with corporate social res-ponsibility, and contribute to the socioeconomic development of a major emerald mining region in Boyacá,Colombia.

¿What we believe in? We believe in the possibility of building a world with innovative ideas and in creating jewelry from natural products that provide opportunities to the disadvantaged. We believe in fair trade with the purpose of generating social awareness and contribu-te to the marketing of the jewels; that came from the hands of a craftsman who has put his heart in his work and sustains his family. We like to call this “Trade of Hope”. As a re-sult this improves the quality of life of the population and reduces the negative effect of unemployment and poverty in the mining areas.

Where are we going?We are providing through employ-ment better living standards of wo-men heads of household who had sporadic and degrading work in the mining area and were not allowed to meet their basic needs. Through the training of 52 single mothers as ar-tisans and developing their creati-ve skills we have obtained high qua-lity jewelry. In the next five years we aim to reach 500 single mothers to be part of Émeraudinne artisans, to train them armed jewelry, carving, cutting and brilliance of precious stones but also to train them as business women.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND STAFF

Émeraudinne has two workshops, the first class of emeraldine, and the second class of emerald. Each one has measures 4 by 4 meters and has a production capacity of 10,000 to 15,000 carats per month for a to-tal annual production of 120,000 to 180,000 carats.
