Who can Apply?

Challenge is open to the following groups: • Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs)

Must be Registered with Karnataka Societies Registration Act (KSR Act) and• Apartment Associations (AA)• Gated Community Societies• Community Based Organizations (CBO – Rotary/Lions)• NGOs working with underprivileged groups

Must have worked for >2 years

- Economically challenged neighbourhoods (not registered under KSR Act) can participate in collaboration with a neighbouring RWA

Awardees and dispersal of Grant Money?

Financial awards for winning entries• Total award INR 1 CRORE• Upto INR 15 Lakhs per project towards implementation

The Grant money can be given to an awardee who is:• An RWA registered under KSA and have an active Bank Account• NGO with FCRA / 80G• Businesses who must have a tie-up with an RWA for the solution that is to be embedded in

that neighborhood• CBO and other associations who have been working with underprivileged communities for

atleast 2 years

What support will NIP Team provide?

NIP team: Centre for Public Problem Solving (CPPS) and Embarq

The process of Consultations for competition applicants involve:•Connect project teams (Solution Seekers – SS) with relevant experts (Solution Providers – SP)

– For domain specific knowledge

•Mentorship for developing proposals– Feasibility of the project

– Financial assessment and costing

– Impact analysis

– Replicability

– Phasing

•Sharing case studies of comparable projects
