FEEDBACK & CONCERNS

While most of the feedback was positive, we did hear concerns about 3 key areas:

1. PROCESS

More time was needed to absorb •information and discuss;

Ensuring alignment with other city •processes (i.e. DTES and Grandview-Woodland Area Plans, Transportation 2040);

2. TRAFFIC

Concerns were raised about impacts to •parallel streets;

A strong interest in traffic calming on •Prior/Venables

3. NEFC

Understanding impacts on adjacent •landowners; and

Potential impact for early delivery of •Creekside Park.

Proposal: Traffic is expected to be reduced by 10% and average vehicle speeds will decrease

Page 29: Presentation :Dunsmuir and Georgia Viaducts: 2013 Jun 25former.vancouver.ca/ctyclerk/cclerk/20130625/documents/rr1presentati… · • Business Groups • Representatives from Adjacent

GRANDVIEW-WOODLAND

Concern: traffic in the community and Victoria Drive

Proposal: replacement road network is expected to result in a 10% decrease in traffic volumes on Prior/Venables which would extend west of Clark Drive

A more substantive decrease is anticipated once a replacement arterial to Prior/Venables is constructed along Malkin Ave or the National Ave alignment
