How did I prepare this?1. 1 looked for a suitable MTV & checked out its lyrics. (10 mins)Why? I wanted an MTV that made me think, and lyrics that were more than simply sex and violence.

2. I organised my points in the slides. (20 mins)I thought about what the story in the MTV is talking about. I picked out 3 topics or themes which attracted me to the MTV, and lyrics.

How did I prepare this?

3. I did research on the MTV, the lyrics and the band on google.com. (2 hrs)I got information online for “Owl City”, “Adam Young” and “Fireflies”. I searched out Owl City’s influences and listened to them so that I can understand Owl City’s sounds better.

I kept asking myself, “How does the research relate to the 3 themes of dreams, solitude and childhood?”

4. I watched the MTV many times. (30 min)I took notes. Each time I watched the MTV, I took note for each theme.

How did I prepare this?

5. I prepared my slides in order. (1 hour)I put my main points in each slide, and prepare side notes to elaborate.

Total Time Spent : 5 hours

6. I practised my presentation. (1 hour)I practised it by myself first, and then I did it in front of other people. I asked them for feedback. I used their feedback to make a better presentation.I tested out the slides, the links many times.
