Presentation of the artists: All installations include computer controlled light and sound (music) compositions. Per Aage Lysaa Artist, Architect and producer: www.intravision.no
Per Aage is the founder of the INTRAVISION GROUP companies, and work as project manager, producer, artist and technology developer in INTRAVISION’s art projects. Per Aage is also leading several R&D projects within INTRAVISION
GROUP’s subsidiaries: Promar, Lumigeen and Intravison AQUA. Yngve Sandboe Artist, software development and light design: www.intravision.no
With a background as a light master from the Norwegian national theatre, Yngve started in the late 1980’s with development of software and hardware for light and multimedia design and control. Yngve’s software is installed in more than 1000 theatres, operas and television studios world wide.
Bjarne Kvinnsland Artist, Composer, and producer at NOTAM: www.notam02.no
Bjarne is working with electronic music mainly based on sampling of natural sounds and lately also with compositions based on recordings of human voices. He has composed and also produced a large number of concerts and music festivals as part of his position at NOTAM (Norwegian Network for Technology, Acoustics and Music), and he has also composed music to radio shows and movies.

Technology: Light Systems Intravision started in 1998 the process of developing long lifetime colour light systems. We are currently working with two
different light source technologies: LEDs and CCL (Cold Cathode Light Tubes). Our partner in development of LED systems is the Dutch/ American company Lumileds Lighting Ltd (EUREKA R&D cooperation project: Lumigreen) and with CCL light tubes we are cooperating both with the UK based company Masonlite as well as the Chinese
All the light systems we are developing has a lifetime at 50.000 hours or more – resulting in 15 – 20 years lifetime
expectancy in an computer controlled installation. Software Yngve started in 2000 the process of developing a Windows Version of his professional light design software (dos based) .
The first installation of the finished product was executed in February 2005 (Baereum Cultural House in Sandvika, Norway). This new software is operating with a new Timeline – solution – allowing freedom in design and mixture of a vide variety of medias to be integrated and to interact with the programmed installation.
Hardware Yngve released in 2003 the first version of his Sandbox – a piece of computer hardware specially developed as a computer/
DMX translation unit – thus allowing a large number of instruments to be controlled by his software.

Baerum Cultural House in Sandvika CROMATAPHORA The new theatre building in Sandvika is designed by the leading architectural company Snøhetta (Snowarc) We felt that the building has an dynamic animal character and wanted to give it life. We therefore developed a series of electronic identities for the building, expressed in light and music. I this project we are using both a series of computer controlled movable theatre lamps, together with all the white light systems in the building.

The Sad Truth” Proposed Installation in an escalator for the Nobel Peace Centre, Oslo In The Sad Truth we are working with several layers of text with words and letters made in clear neon tubes and arranged on a highly transparent composite shape. Each of the small words and each of the big letters are individually programmed and controlled. Both text and music will be dynamic changing. We have borrowed the main text, the theme of the installation from the German/ American philosopher Hanne Arent, and then integrated a series of new texts and short messages into the original.

“The tunnel of light” Installation in the Nydalen Metro Station, Oslo in cooperation with the architect Kristin Jarmund Brief mental travels in time and space – communicated using 1600 CCL light tubes and 44 loudspeakers. Nydalen is a new part of the city of Oslo, mainly inhabited with high tech companies and university facilities. The normal user of the metro facility in this part of Oslo is people commuting to and back from work or school. We wanted to create and offer a 30 second long break from this daily routine.

“Rhythms and Directions” Installation in the Løoekenaasen School, Skaarer Nature – rhythms and directions – expressed in music and Light. For this installation in the main auditorium at the Loekenaasen Junior High School we are working with music compositions based on sampling of sounds form the nature. The light compositions are closely timed to the music – making a movie like story where you can see a bird flying through the room – or the waves hitting the shore.

“Reflections and interactions” Installation in the Borgund High school, Aalesund Interactions in sound and light – played from a parabolic shaped sculpture. This installation is based on use of the parabolic shape and its ability to focus sound in certain areas of a large room. This installation is specially designed for Interaction in both sound and light control with the students.

“Vertical Wave” Installation in the DnB NOR bank headquarter in Oslo, Norway. For the renewal of the DnB NOR bank headquarter we were commissioned to make a dynamic installation in the new entrance using water, light and music. The water is running over the top of the wall and vertically down a stainless steel curtain creating a wave pattern. The water system is fully equipped with water cleaning, anti algae and anti bacteria systems. October 2005

“The White River” Installation in the Heggelia Flerbrukssenter, Bardufoss – northern Norway A 9 metre tall freestanding sculpture in glass and steel - integrated with a Cold Cathode colour light system. Ultrasound loudspeakers are arranged in the ceiling playing music in the areas directly surrounding the sculpture. Bardufoss lies north of the polar circle with the midnight sun during the summer and with the dark period in the winter. We wanted to create a sculpture which would attract interest through all the different light phases of the year. September 2005

“Lengu munnu liva” Installation in the Nylund Elementary School in Stavanger, Norway Sound and light installations based on text, writings and recordings in Norwegian, Ancient Norwegian, English and Chinese. The old Nylund School is a multicultural school with children originating from more than 25 nationalities. The music will be based on sound recordings of the children attending the school. The animal shaped sculpture is produced in highly transparent composite, painted green along the edges. The text/ letters are produced in clear neon tubes, and will be delivered as duplicate to expand the lifetime of the installation. Finished by April 2006
