INTRODUCTION
Road network provides :The arterial network to facilitate trade, transport, social integration and economic development. It facilitates specialization, extension of markets and exploitation of economies of scale. It is used for the smooth conveyance of both people and goods.Transportation by road has the advantage over other means of transport because of its easy accessibility, flexibility of operations, door-to-door service and reliability.
The total road length in India increased more than 11 times during the 60 years between 1951 and 2011. From 3.99 lakh kilometer as on 31 March 1951, the road length increased to 46.90 lakh kilometers as on 31 March 2011. Concomitantly, the surfaced road length increased both in absolute and relative terms. The length of sufaced roads which was 1.57 lakh kilometers (39.35 per cent of total road length) as on 31 March 1951 increased to 25.25 lakh kilometers (53.83 per cent of total road length) as on 31 March 2011.

PLANNING
WHAT IS PLANNING? : To complete the project within the schedule time, maintaining the quality and safety. According to specified drawing.Highway planning is based on the Highway Act and Decree, and other legislation concerning landuse planning.
FILES TO BE MAINTAINED•Planning files / program files.•Drawing register.•Daily progress report.•Monthly progress report.•Organization chart.•Reconciliation.•Cost to completion

ROAD WORK:
ROAD WORK
FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT (Component layers : subgrade, drainage layer/sub-base, base course, binder course
and surfacing course)
RIGID PAVEMENT (Component layers : sub grade,
drainage layer, sub-base (DLC), CC slab
(PQC))
Road Work dependent upon various features which are:1. Safety2. Survey3. Quality control
FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT
Flexible pavement are design on the basis of several stages.:
1. Embankment layer2. Sub grade layer3. Granular sub base layer-14. Granular sub base layer-25. Wet water macadam layer-16. Wet water macadam layer-27. Dense bitumen concrete layer-18. Dense bitumen concrete layer-29. Bitumen concrete
RIGID PAVEMENT
1. Please provide details
Rigid pavement are design on the basis of several stages.:
QUALITY CONTROL •Control of Materials•Test Procedure•Frequency and Extent of Testing•Acceptance Criteria•Equipment Type & its Calibration•Recording of Test Results•Training for QC
Quality Control Test: 1. Individual Materials (Soil, Gravel, Aggregate, Binder)2. Mixes (Gradation of Aggregates, Mix Proportion, Mixed Design Properties) During Construction Process 1. Spreading2. Segregation3. Temperature – Mixing, Laying, Rolling
Quality control, or QC for short, is a process by which entities review the quality of all factors involved in production. This approach places an emphasis on three aspects
Asphalt Content Gauge Portable Pendulum Type Skid Resistance Tester
Dynamic Skid Resistance Tester Portable Asphalt Core Cutter
Non Nuclear Density Gauge Benkelmen Beam CONCRETE TESTER

SAFETY
WHY SAFETY IS SO IMPORTANT?Safety is such term which takes care of human at work field. Safety is only thing which we have to remember must from the super starting to marvellous ending of any project. Because if the workmen are not safe to the site then a atmosphere of fear we automatically greeted. Without safety various accidents will take place to the site, prevention of which is very important.
