It was the ingenious idea of some local resort owners to put a roof over a waterpark attraction and, voila, the phenomenon that is the indoor waterpark became synonymous with Wisconsin Dells. There are a multitude of Wisconsin Dells indoor waterparks and water playgrounds to choose from, with accommodations to suit every fancy. They are open 12 months a year, so no excuses when it comes to finding a convenient time to visit.

Outdoor Waterparks

• Wisconsin Dells has the largest concentration of water parks in the world. It is – without question - "The Waterpark Capital of the World®." Let’s do the math. The Dells boasts more than twenty indoor and outdoor water parks. They hold a combined total of 16 million gallons of water.

• Picture this: A family owned and operated amusement park in rural midwestern America, starting from modest means, builds itself into a successful theme park destination for people from all over the region. The theme chosen for the park is one of personal significance, although in many ways it’s a token theme because the park is built in a forested, hilly landscape, which they fill with the best wooden roller coasters their limited funds can buy.
