    SIMETAL OFSM - General information

    SIMETAL OFSM is an optical foaming slag detectionand control system for automated carbon injection atall kind of electric arc furnaces. Main purpose isexact detection of slag height inside the EAF vesselcombined with advanced control algorithms for most

    efficient use of injection material.

    SIMETAL OFSM System Setup

    A cooled and protected industrial camera plus machine vision is detecting the

    height of slag inside of the furnace vessel. During line-of-sight obstructions the

    slag flow out of the slag door is evaluated and gives reliable measurings of the

    slag height.

    Regulation output can be interfaced with any common type of carbon injectionmachines.
