He is most known as a National Geographic photographer and a conservationist, due to his contribution for wildlife environtment, land use and endangered species.

He is also a founding fellow of International League of Conservations Photographers and National Geographic Society.

SPESIFIC INFORMATION ABOUT HIS STYLE, HAS THEIR STYLE CHANGE OVER THE COURSE OF THEIR CAREER ?

Most of the photos take by him shown endangered animal and nature environtment.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE FIELD OF PHOTOGRAPHY

He has shown keen interest in raising awareness for conservation, mainly focusing on endangered species, maintaining wildlife management on land use.

He took photos of 1500 species and more, some have run in National Geographic Magazine, one in Endangered Species Act.

HOW HIS WORK INFLUENCE / MAKE A POSITIVE CHANGE ?

His photos has influence which allowed us to see human impact on the environtment first- hand, it can help get people to care about the existence of these creatures and their ecosystem.

HOW DOES HE MAKE A LIVING ?

He works as both freelance photographer, and on several occasions, he works as contract photographer.

He also has published photobook about America’s Endangered Species, it features potraits some of the country’s most endangered species.

SPECIAL TECHNIQUE USED ?

He often used freeze motion photography technique, to capture objects that moves at certain speed, he captured it with a high shutter speed and freeze the action/ movement.

To achieve an accurate focus of the objects, it is very recommended to enable camera’s focus point to the object location in the planned composition.

HOW DISTINGUISH HIS WORK FROM OTHERS ?

His photos usually capturing objects such as endangered animals when its moving at very close distance with the camera. (Close up shots).

HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO THE PHOTOGRAPHERS WORK ? WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM HIM ?

From his photographs,I learned it is not enough for a photographer just to capture and show beautiful animal or landscape.

We could not afford to just continue show the beauty of nature, absolutely we could, but we can’t pretend anymore that everything is lovely, we should try to capture something from different point of view to inform people who see the photos about whats really going on out there such as environtmental issue.
