TRANSCRIPT
“No matter where students live, they should have access to the same high-quality educational opportunities as any other student
in Michigan. Likewise, teachers across the state should have equitable opportunities to learn and excel in their profession no
matter where they live and teach.”
- Michigan Top 10 in 10 Years Goals and Strategies, 2016

Power of OER
Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL)
● MACUL is an educational technology organization that serves to integrate technology, educational resources, and innovative learning models in PK-16 classes across the great state of Michigan.
● MACUL strives to provide professional learning services, resources, and opportunities to support the integration of open education resources to our 26,000 members for use in a multitude of learning environments.
● As a classroom teacher this is a place I can share materials and lessons I have created and find others that may fit my needs without having to reinvent the wheel.
● Because of the CC licensing on the site I can then tailor these new found resources to fit my specific students.
Michigan Collaboration Hub (MiCH)
Effective, Efficient, Scalable Solutions
The Michigan Collaboration Hub has brought together ISD leaders from across the state to develop, support, and implement technical solutions to support schools, educators, and students. Open Educational Resources and the Michigan #GoOpen site provide a pathway for teachers to access the power of the MiOpenBook project.
The #GoOpen Michigan Microsite
brings together educators and
educational organizations around
the state through the creation of a
community that cultivates
resources for all.
As an organization, we value
innovative ways of learning.
Through the #GoOpen Michigan
Microsite, educators can access
and repurpose existing materials,
as well as contribute new resources
for community use.
The #GoOpen platform serves as
a dynamic warehouse for quality
learning materials, saving
educators valuable time by
allowing them to search for
resources in a single location.
The work being done by #GoOpen Michigan aligns
to our mission of ensuring that every person can
reach his or her full potential through digital
resources.
Regional Educational Media Centers of Michigan (REMC)
Providing proactive leadership to the Michigan educational community by participating with other organizations in building a vision that supports quality teaching and learning and provides equity to Michigan's pre-K-12 students
Making high quality open education resources easily available to Michigan educators through the #GoOpen Michigan Microsite aligns with and furthers our mission
