• My front cover uses conventions like most music magazine front covers because it has an engaging picture where the main feature of this image has direct eye contact with the audience- this allows them to interact with their audience directly and make the audience feel like they are ‘part of the scene’ with the artist.

• I also placed the other cover line in the left third of the magazine, this is a convention as when the magazine is stacked in the shop this is probably the part of the magazine that most people will see

• I placed the slogan and date line under the masthead, which is a conventional place, so that people will see this as they look at the masthead. And because slogans are usually catchy it will allow them to remember it and stick in their heads

• Apart from the main cover line, I also have some minor cover lines on there such as a ‘WIN’ section and another story to attract my audience if the main cover line isn’t the only thing they are looking for.
