-We use at to show a specific place, location or position.

ex. The owls are waiting at the bus stop

-We use on to show position on a horizontal or vertical surface.

We also use on to show position on streets, roads, etc.

ex.The owl is standing on the box.

-We use in to show that something is enclosed or surrounded

We also use in to show position within a general area (towns, counties, states,

countries, and continents).ex.The owl is sleeping in the box.

ASKING DIRECTIONS•If you need some

-how do/can I gel to...?-how far is...from

here?-how long does it take

to get to...?

GIVING DIRECTIONS•if a person asks you a directions,

you can respond saying:-go along/up/down

-go on as far as the traffic lights-go untile you reach the crossroads-take the first/second turning on
