Why do we take test? Tests are simple was to track your level of

understanding. Schools use tests to track your knowledge and proficiency.

Think about your life and the people you know.

Can you name one occupation that must take a test before they can be hired?

Even you must take a test…

If you want a driver’s license you must take a test

If you want to graduate from high school you must take a few tests

If you want to get into college you will have to take at least 1-2 tests

So…what can you do differently?

Strategy #1 Be well prepared for the material being

presented.

• Study often and take the process seriously. Read, listen and take good notes in class. Remember to review your notes for at least 30-45 minutes each day.

Good grades do not happen by accident!

Strategy # 2 Read the question before you select your

answer.

Sometimes you just need to understand what to look for first. This is called reading for information.

Strategy # 3 Process of elimination

Use your eliminate tool to cross out information that does not fit or make sense. This process could increase your chance of getting a better score.

making your selecting.
