COMPANY PROFILE
For over 15 years ATX-dyno LTD has been developing and producing test stati-
ons for measuring horsepower in agricultural technology, cars and motorcycles.
As a result of our own internal demand for measuring agricultural technology horsepower (tractors,
harvesters, threshers, etc.), in 2008 we made our first agro-dynamometer prototype. Based on positive
results of prototype testing we made other test stations for our own use – for our subsidiary company
AgroEcoPower for measuring the horsepower for mechanisation commonly used in agriculture.
Based on our own measured data from over 8,000 agricultural machines, we developed the T1
450 kW and T2 700 kW modern agro-dynamometers.
Our own experience from a large number of real measurements is also reflected in the delivery of our
comprehensive product package. This includes both the T1 (or T2) test station product itself and fully
user-friendly SW, including all communication components. This way, the customer receives a modern
product capable of working in a simple user environment with full support and service from ATX–dyno
LTD.

The T1 test station represents the next stage of development for the ATX-dyno product. It is designed as a unified unit and can be placed on a trailer (TRAILER version) in a vehicle (INcar version) or used as a stationary unit (STATIC version).
The T1 beats off its competitors with a whole host of advantages, benefitting from compact size and weight and 3 sets of integrated gimbals, which can be used for the most common types of PTO shafts with the option of changing individual gimbal halves.
Its main assets are its powerful retarders (braking power up to 450 kW) and forced air circulation (improvement of test station air-cooling) combined with direct transmission of the gimbal using its own construction, which shifts up to 5.500 N moment of force.
It also features SW and HW equipment. Fully automated operation as well as touch comes as standard, with a wireless control (tablet, laptop) coming from the test station directly from the measured machine cab.
Horsepower from the T1 test station is not only in real time data on the display but also delivers customer reports or prints internal records from an added wireless printer.*
Service operations on the device are provided by our ATX-dyno service techni-cians, who will come to you and carry out all servicing within our service package.

The body of the test station consists of a main-frame (a joint of functional elements with the trailer frame) and a sub-frame (a beam of functional elements – retarders, direct transmission, elements of forced air circulation, actuators, wiring harnesses). This assembly is built on the floor and designed for the highest possible tightness due to humidity formation. The floor is made of stainless steel. The internal arrangement of the test station features direct transmission, an electromagnetic retarder and forced air circulation.

ATX-dyno transmission…Direct transmission is an important element of the whole system because it transmits the entire torque, changes the gear ratio between revolutions of power take-off and the retarder and also significantly mutes noise and resonance from the whole test station system. It ensures the crucial turning of the retarder in optimal revolutions in various modes of measurement. We have developed transmission with our Czech supplier and collaborator.

The main rotating features consist of a retarder, direct transmission, a Hardy clutch, a bearing housing and optional accessories. Also included is a set of gimbals (4 halves) for connecting to various types and sizes of machines. The body of the test station is designed as a type of cradle so that the bearing housing is an iron frame element. Closing and sealing of the test station is ensured by a front and roof door which are fitted with lockable locks. The body is also equipped with a storage area for gimbals. All elements are made of stainless steel. It is also designed to support the attached shaft which is part of the body.
Electromagnetic retarder…
We use a 450 kW retarder in the ATX AGRO-DYNO T1 450 test station. The retarder operates simultaneously in two modes. Its main function is to create the braking moment. This activity generates a large amount of waste energy in the form of heat. In this way the retarder also functions as a radial fan – conducting generated heat away using air flow from the surrounding area. According to the simple rule of physics – cooler air going into the ventilator generates a larger amount of heat from the retarder, ensuring faster cooling so that the duration of the test can be extended. That’s why we operate “forced circulation” in our AGRO test stations. The aim of this solution is to suck into the test station from the retarder as much cool air as possible depending on the surroun-dings and expel hot air to ensure cool and hot air do not mix together. This solution allows the testing time to be extended by over 150% more during long-term tests.

The test station and the tested machine are connected via the measured machine’s power take-off shaft using gimbals. We use gimbals of the highest capacity (AW36 series). We closely collaborate with the Weasler Company. All 4 halves of the gimbals are located directly in the test station. On the side of the test station half of the gimbal is always used with a 1 ¾ - 20 grooved shaft. Customers can choose 3 halves of gimbals according to their needs.

SW AGRO-dyno…
We have developed a completely new SW and HW for the T1 test station to meet the demand from our customers and partners. We have mainly focused on ease of use and ergonomics for test station users.

Individual measurement methodologies are essential for SW. Each methodology is suitable for different types of measurement and service operation. During training, each customer is made thoroughly acquainted with individual methodologies during and after application.
Work with data is essential in today’s world. Therefore we have prepared a wide range of analytic tools for you to evaluate measurements, create sets of reports, compare reports and many others.
The output of each machine testing is a report that contains all outputs associated with measurement: maximum measured values, waveform depiction, values of atmospheric conditions and many others. Each report can be assembled to meet your requirements including graphic display.
Each test station has full connectivity with necessary peripherals. Our supply may include a tablet and printer in recommended configuration for optimum user access.

Measurement output …
Each ATX AGRO T1 450 test station report contains 3 basic sectors. The upper sector is associated with information on the tested vehicle. This information is entered after measuring the vehicle in SW. Second sector – middle is waveform of testing process. Waveform shows the operator process of power P [kW] and torque Mk [Nm] of tested machine. If the vehicle has power drops of other defects, the operator can see at what speed these defects occur and what kind of problems present themselves. The third sector is associated with measurement outputs – measured maximum values, corrected values accordant to the measurement standard and other information connected with current surrounding values. Each customer can define his/her own report according to their internal guidelines to meet the report requirements and standards of the individual customer.
