Day 1 Arrive Phoenix, AZ Welcome to Phoenix, the largest city inArizona – The Grand Canyon State! Upon arrival you will betransferred to your hotel for check-in. Day 2 Phoenix – Sedona – Grand Canyon National Park Fuelup this morning with breakfast at your hotel then depart Phoenixand enjoy the cactus-studded scenery on your way to Sedona,“Arizona’s Scenic Sensation” for a short stop. Day 4 Grand Canyon National Park – Monument Valley – LakePowell After breakfast, head to Monument Valley Navajo TribalPark and see firsthand the famous sandstone spires and towersthat rise 400 to 1000 feet from the valley floor that have beennaturally carved by wind and water over eroding the surface formillions of year. Enjoy a 4-Wheel-Drive Tour of Monument Valleywith a knowledgeable Navajo guide who shares their culture andhow it is influenced by the area. Explore the area’s red sandstonemonoliths, buttes, and mesas depicted in countless movies andpostcards starting with Stagecoach where John Wayne ridesacross the impressive terrain on horseback. Day 5 Lake Powell – Bryce Canyon National Park Rise andshine with breakfast at your hotel and free time this morning, anideal opportunity for an invigorating stroll on Wahweap Marinasituated along on the shores of Lake Powell, America’s secondlargest man-made lake that was created in 1963 when the GlenCanyon Damn held back the waters of the Colorado River to forma beautiful open lake surrounded by picturesque sandstone walls.This afternoon depart from Lake Powell and head for Utah’s BryceCanyon National Park. Day 6 Bryce Canyon National Park After breakfast, a drivethrough Bryce Canyon National Park awaits, featuring photo stopsto capture the magnificent contrasts of bright red, yellow, and pinkpillars called “hoodoos.” Years of erosion have carved colorfulsandstone into thousands of spires, arches, and mazes for anunforgettable sight. Uniquely, this park is not a canyon. It is aseries of more than a dozen amphitheaters carved at least 1,000feet into the chromatic limestone of the Paunsaugunt Plateau thatmake for a surreal landscape to take in and enjoy.
