Dear Friends and Colleagues of KADA,
This is Pilseong Kim, 26th KADA
President. I would like to extend New Year
greetings to everyone.
STUDY CLUB:
First, KADA will start our own study
group. One of them will start from 6: 30
pm, Wed, Feb. 27th, 2019, with the Topic
“Oral Surgery for General Dentist”. It will
be a 5 series lectures by Dr. David H.
Kim,DDS, MD, Senior VP of KADA USA.
The course will help any seasoned, recent
graduate dentist for their own practices.
The fee will be $300 for all five series, and
KADA Membership is included only for
the early bird by Jan. 31st, 2019. (KADA
membership normally $150 includes Free
CPR, Infection Control/Dental Law
classes).
This program will be advertised to LADS
members together since KADA is working
together with LADS for study groups.
CPR class will be on Tue, Feb 26, 2019
,and it will be free to all KADA members.

Second, KADA will be opening up
PERIO/IMPLANT STUDY GROUP in
Pasadena which also will start Feb, 2019
with the support from major implant
companies. Further notice will follow soon.
Finally, KADA MEMBERS are invited to
participate in APDC/SIDEX 2019 in Seoul,
Korea from May 8 -12. 2019 Please mark
your calendar.

At the request of APDC/SIDEX2019,
KADA has chosen 3 speakers from U.S. to
present a lecture at the Convention,
representing KADA USA
They are Drs. Mo Kang (Chair, UCLA
Endo Dept),
Philip Kang (Director, Grad Perio,
Columbia Univ.), and
Joan-Otomo Corgel ( Past President of
AAP, Advisor, UCLA SD)
The registration fee for this event is $200,
but will be waived for KADA members
who registers through KADA email.
The registration allows the participants to
receive up to 10 CEU (ADA CERP
approved) and will be invited to an
exclusive VIP Gala where only 3-400 are
invited amongst 25000 expected registrants.
To get all those benefits, you have to
register thru KADA, and there will be no on
site registration for KADA members. We
will let you know when will be the deadline
since we are sending the list to Korean
Dental Association directly.
There will be many more exciting things
KADA is planning for the year 2019.

David H. Kim MD, DDS
Starting
February 27th, 2019
Dr. David H. Kim started his education at U.C.L.A., graduating with a B.S. in Biology. Then he
obtained his D.D.S. from Columbia University, School of Dental & Oral Surgery, with an area of
concentration in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Then he obtained his M.D. from Medical College of
Pennsylvania / Hahnemann University, School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Kim spent two
years as a General Surgery resident and completed his six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
residency at Drexel University, College of Medicine. Then Dr. Kim traveled to the South for facial
aesthetics training, including Cosmetic Facial Surgery from L.S.U. and Medical Aesthetics from
Florida’s Esthetic Skin Institute. He then moved back to California as a staff Maxillofacial Surgeon
in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery at Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center.
Currently, Dr. Kim is an attending surgeon at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller
Children’s Hospital. In addition to routine oral surgery, his extensive training and practice
in facial trauma, oral & maxillofacial pathology, dental implants, reconstruction,
orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial cosmetic surgery, and aesthetic medicine enabled Dr.
Kim to truly become an expert on the surgery of the mouth, jaws, and face. Furthermore,
he is a Continuing Education Provider who gives many presentations on the topics of
pathology, implants, reconstruction and aesthetics Dr. David H. Kim is dually certified by
American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and American Board of Aesthetic Medicine. He
practices the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine in Long Beach and
Los Angeles.
