World-Class Entertainment in Downtown Columbus

“Cabaret is a new concept for Columbus, a different kind of performance that

breaks the invisible barrier that is perceived to separate the performer from

the audience […] performers not only introduce their songs, but tell

stories behind them.”

Johnson Distinguished Guest Artist

Celebrate the musical impact of the Reformation with a massed choir including the Philharmonic Chorus and area church choirs performing Dan Forrest’s setting of A Mighty Fortress is Our God.

Fall in love with violinist Ariel Horowitz and soprano Cathy Rund as the pair celebrates the music of love with songs like My Funny Valentine and Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise. The orchestra enchants the audience with expressive vocal melodies in a staged version of Ravel’s Bolero.

With the spaciousness of a symphony, the drama of an opera, the intimacy of a lullaby, and the intertwining raptures of a love song,

pianist Sean Chen masters Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 with extraordinary immediacy and power.

This free, outdoor pops concert is performed on the grounds of the Bartholomew County Veterans Memorial. Join the Philharmonic for

a patriotic salute to honor those who have served and are serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Hum along with Beethoven’s famous, jolting first four notes in one of the most influential pieces of music ever written – Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. The Anderson University Chorale joins the Philharmonic Chorus for Brahms’ Triumphlied which includes a Hallelujah Chorus.

First trained at the young age of six, Brazilian-born cellist Leonardo Altino performs Dvorák’s rhapsodic Cello Concerto, one of the

greatest ever written for cello. This timeless classic is complemented by Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.

Broadway veteran and Columbus native Marja Harmon celebrates her homecoming

with holiday favorites. Afternoon matinee show is designed for families and children with

a special appearance by Santa Claus!
