LIAM KING - BIO Liam King is a singer-songwriter hailing from the small town of North Augusta, Ontario. Liam has been

playing guitar for 10 years and has been writing original material consistently since then. A versatile musician, Liam is a talented multi-instrumentalist playing not only guitar but piano, harmonica, banjo and more. He is influenced by many different, odd things, including (but not limited to):

North of Brockville, Ontario. Being in an isolated place is what led him to pursue music, and writing came naturally after he received acclaim from peers. Shortly after, he began playing local shows in Brockville and the surrounding area while building his own library of songs. In early 2007, Liam began recording an album on his own, using his basement as a makeshift studio. In August 2007 he released his alt-folk self-titled debut on his own imprint label, Fireside Tales Records.

His style is difficult to describe as Liam sticks to no particular format, jumping from folk, country, electronic, instrumental, rock, alternative, lo-fi, acoustic, electric, and more. He considers his music to be merely an extension of what he observes in the world around him, which he says to be “very biased”. He creates personal songs that reflect his feelings and thoughts, and does not restrict himself to any set genre.

With a large amount of unreleased material, Liam had no choice but to compile another album, planning to create something very original, alternative, and experimental--as he puts it, “out-there”. With some new (but old) recording hardware, Liam put together the album that would become Straight Out of the Bat Cave over an 8 -month period. The album was released online for free in 2008, to friends and fans alike. In 2010, he released Burn the Rest, his third full-length record, and followed it with the EP Letting Go in 2011.

Now based in Ottawa, he is continuing his studies in recording , currently attending Algonquin College’s Music Industry Arts program. In February 2013 he released the track “Zombie Love Will Bloom” digitally through Bandcamp and Soundcloud.
