International Wine and Spirits Exhibition 22-25 March

VINITALY 2015: BUYERS AND DELEGATIONS FROM 5 CONTINENTS FOR BUSINESS ANDANALYSIS OF INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

An edition dedicated to business, incoming b2b and focus meetings involving the most important countries for present and future consumption of wine. Important institutional attendance at meetings organised to discuss the most topical regulatory issues in the wine industry - which is worth more than 10 billion euros of which 5.1 millions from exports.

Vinitaly has a strong focus on business this year, including meetings with delegations and calendar of b2n event, professional seminars and tastings sure to provide effective answers useful for business strategies in the wine sector (www.vinitaly.com).

«Overall, the wine sector is worth more than 10 billion euros, of which more than 5.1 billions generated by exports. Wine for Italy - which is the leader by value on the US market and second worldwide - is an extraordinary multiplier creating wealth and image for vocational local areas, - said Ettore Riello, President of VeronaFiere. - This is why attendance during the Show by representatives of government and institutions is so important - from the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Maurizio Martina, the Minister of Employment, Giuliano Poletti, the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Carlo Calenda, and Paolo De Castro, Agriculture Commission of the European Parliament, who will discuss and debate the must topical issues in the wine sector, from the Consolidated Wine Law to TTIP, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership between the EU and the US». «And precisely the 49th edition of Vinitaly, in this regard, sees fundamental Government recognition of the trade fair

VINITALY 2015: INCOMING ACTIVITIES – ORIGIN OF BUYERS’ DELEGATIONS

system as an essential hinge-pin for internationalpromotion,» added Riello. «The inclusion of exhibitionsSpecial Plan for Made in Italy, which envisages 48 millioneuros for upgrading the sector, for Veronafiere is afurther opportunity for developing its platform ofbusiness services, since its events have for many yearsbeen an authentic partner for the internationalisation onforeign markets of a great many companies».

For Vinitaly 2015 all this has helped bring about anincrease in investments of 34% compared to 2014 inorder to implement a detailed incoming promotion planthat, in addition to the efforts organised directly byVeronafiere, involves the fundamental interaction withthe entire system of institutions: Ministry for EconomicDevelopment, Ministry of Agriculture, ICE Foreign TradeAgency and European projects.

«2014 was a rather particular year, as regards theeconomic and political scenario as a whole, internationalcrises and monetary trends,» says Giovanni Mantovani,CEO & Director General of Veronafiere. «The sensationamong wine companies is positive and our ownObservatory indicates that turnover in 2014 will post atrend up by around 5% compared with 2013, while agood percentage of companies also enjoyed a favourabletrend in the first part of 2015. It is equally true, however, that there are important signs of change on manymarkets - mention need only be made of Russia given thecurrent international crisis - and we must work hard onbilateral agreements in potentially interesting areaswhich are blocked by protectionist duty policies thatprevent markets taking off. Equally, an overall strategyshould be adopted to supervise quotas in terms of value, volume and quality perception of Made in Italy productsin markets where we are leaders such as the USA,Germany, the United Kingdom and so forth».

For this reason, potential in various countries is analysed, thanks to targeted focus meetings organized by Vinitaly, especially as regards the situation in Germany, HongKong, China, Russia, USA, Australia and Brazil, as well asopportunities for Italian wine through internationallarge-scale retail distribution.

Many indications of market trends also originate fromdirect comparisons between exhibitors and operatorsfrom all over the world during meetings on stands andthe b2b events organized by Vinitaly. For this reason,Veronafiere continues to upgrade initiatives toencourage incoming foreign buyers thanks to 60international delegates, specific Projects for Vinitalypromoted by the Ministry of Economic Development(MISE) and implemented by Veronafiere with thesupport of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the Ministry ofAgriculture (MIPAAF) and Uiv/Federvini.

International Exhibition of Wine-Growing and Olive-Growing Techniques

ENOLITECH 2015,PREVIEWS OF TOMORROW'S WINE CELLAR AND OIL MILL TECHNOLOGIES -GREEN ECONOMY AND CONTINUAL INNOVATION

The event is the most comprehensive showcase ever of machinery, equipment and accessories for production, bottling, transport, storage and tasting of wine and olive oil. Two hundred exhibitors: with internationalcompanies up, in particular from France, Switzerland, United States, Taiwan and Germany.

Wine and olive oil producers of the future? Increasingly sustainable, automated and interconnected. By now 18editions of Enolitech, the International Exhibition of Wine-Growing and Cellar Techniques & Olive-Growing and OliveOil Technologies, have premiered technological innovations for wine and olive oil producers (www.enolitech.it).Alongside Vinitaly and Sol&Agrifood 22-25 March, 200 companies will present in Hall F at Veronafiere the latest trendsin the sector and the best Made in Italy and international produce. International companies are up, in particular fromFrance, Switzerland, United States, Taiwan and Germany.

The key words are environmental sustainability and efficiency: applying the principles of green-economy may achieveenergy savings of up to 30%. The goal is to implement a production model capable of combining wine and olive oilquality with safeguards for the environment. Hence the need for companies to install not only solar geothermal plantbut also a depurator for the water used in wine-making processes making its debut at Enolitech: the sugar, alcohol andorganic residues in solution are eliminated from waste water so that it can be reused for irrigation. The recycling of bottles by now not only involves glass and corks since the event also welcomes exhibitors involvedeven in recovering and revitalising labels, while transport and storage savings can be obtained thanks to newrecyclable and biodegradable pallets capable of reducing dimensions by 66%.

The organic and biodynamic world has already been represented for some years at Vinitaly - and Enolitech highlightsnatural products able to strengthen the defence capabilities of vines and olive trees, thereby reducing dependence onpesticides.

Enolitech in 2014 attracted 41 thousand visitors from 66 countries. It is the meeting point between companies andprofessionals who can rely on the most comprehensive showcase of machinery, equipment and accessories for theproduction, bottling, transport, storage and tasting of wine and olive oil. Products range from machinery for vineyardsand olive groves to furnishing accessories for wine shops and wine bars and work tools designed for sommeliers, thehoreca channel and wine lovers. These categories are the target for an innovative system that allows wine to bepoured from the bottle without uncorking it and thereby affect sensorial and ageing properties: this "magic touch" ismade possible thanks to a patent based on a needle and a capsule of argon gas. Fully automated dispensing, on theother hand, is provided by the "Wine ATM", a public distribution system inspired by milk and water vending systems tooffer consumers takeaway bottles.

Enolitech will also highlight the most advanced computer systems developed for modern wineries or olive mills 2.0:from order and warehouse management software to applications of wireless technology allowing smartphones tointeract with a tag in turn fitted with microchip as anti-counterfeiting or geo-marketing tool, as well distribution andstatistics in consumption areas.

Exhibitors in 2015 also include technical partners Zafferano and its glasses (10,500 for Vinitaly and Vinitaly and theCity) and Winterhalter for glass washing machines.

Focusing as ever on the needs of people who invest in innovation, Enolitech once again this year offers its exhibitorsthe anti-counterfeiting service ensuring protection of the industrial and intellectual property rights of products onshow.
