PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Clovis, CA. July 14, 2015 – Loss Prevention & Safety Consulting will be providing FREE
initial consultations for all new clients. During this consultation, a free business assessment will
also be conducted. Business assessments include an overview of the business model and
identification of operational control gaps that will make the organization susceptible to losses
due to theft and fraud by employees. This will enable the organization to implement the
necessary controls for future success.
Each year organizations lose in excess of $600 billion annually due to employee theft and fraud.
Worldwide, this is estimated at a $3.5 trillion annual loss. Employee theft accounts for 1/3 of all
small business bankruptcies according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The F.B.I. states
that 75% of all employees will steal from their employer at least once during the life of their
career. This creates very real concerns for business owners and larger organizations today. It
is imperative that every organization, no matter what industry has a loss prevention program in
place. Many organizations have security and safety practices in effect, but they overlook loss
prevention. This is typically a very costly mistake, which is often detrimental to the organization.
Loss Prevention & Safety Consulting, a local firm provides organizations with much needed
collaboration and guidance in instituting steadfast loss prevention programs. The owner of Loss
Prevention & Safety Consulting, Colin White brings a vast background from the loss prevention
industry. He believes that every organization should employ at the very least, a basic program;
larger organizations must have more robust programs in place. Colin has over 25 years of
expertise, much of it gained while working for several Fortune 500 companies guiding and
leading their loss prevention efforts. He has recently appeared on KSEE24 – “Central Valley
Today” and Central Valley Talks’ – “Business with Mike Scott” and “The Buzz with Chuck
Leonard”, discussing the implications of employee theft in the workplace.
