PRESS RELEASE
Lisbon, 08/03/2019
XF IBERIA FEMALE, the most competitive Esports in Portugal
GAMING FOR @LL: WORTEN GAME RING SUPPORTS THE ESPORTS FEMALE TEAM
The team is now going to be called Worten Game Ring XF IBERIA FEMALE: https://youtu.be/id-G0D6aMEA
The partnership lasts throughout 2019 and aims to support and encourage female gamer competition
Worten Game Ring XF IBERIA FEMALE competes internationally in CS:GO 5on5 Women´s Open Spring 2019 from ESL
(Electronic Sports League) and in Star Division from Worten Game Ring LACS by NPlay, the Counter-Strike Amateur
League also supported by Worten Game Ring
Worten Game Ring is the new official sponsor of the XF Iberia Female Esports team, the most competitive female Esports team in
Portugal, which now takes on the Worten gaming brand name: Worten Game Ring XF IBERIA FEMALE.
The team is one of the most competitive in the industry and has had good results in domestic and international tournaments. It is
comprised of five young women aged from 25 to 30: Ana “HIT” Pereira, Marta “ISHYZU” Amorim, Rita “BUNNY” Serpa – who is one
of the oldest CS:GO players in Portugal –, Sofia “CUTCHI*” Jesus and Sofia “SOFIA_”Pinto. “We are very happy with this partnership
and finally having a brand like Worten Game Ring investing so much in gaming and not forgetting women's potential in this
industry”, Ana “HIT” Pereira said.
“We have tried to democratise the sport ever since we first entered gaming. This means more supply of equipment, more and
better prices and, of course, support in the competitions so we have more players playing in better conditions. Supporting a
female team really is this now: it is setting an example, it is encouraging gaming for everyone male and female”, António Fuzeta
da Ponte, the Worten Brand and Communication Director said.
Worten wants to support women through this sponsorship in a universe that is still male-dominated and wants to encourage women
to compete at home and abroad. Figures from Newzoo show that 45% of the gamers in the world are women, but very few
participate yet in the Pro Circuit.

This sponsorship, which will continue throughout 2019 proves the brand's commitment to supporting and encouraging gaming and
bolsters the positive role that entertainment has in our society. Worten recently won the "Best Commercial Partner" award by the
ESports Portugal Prizes, a prize that is attributed directly by the gamer community and that distinguishes brands that gave the most
support in 2018 to gaming in our country.
