RAMADA PLAZA MELAKA BY WYNDHAM MELAKA GEARS UP TO CELEBRATE THE NATIONS’ 62nd INDEPENDENCE DAY
Melaka, 15 August 2019 – Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Melaka was proud to once again be part of the nations’ 62nd National day celebrations.
Marking the beginning of our hotels National Day celebrations, the hotel’s management and associates gathered at the hotel lobby to proudly waive the national and state flag as a display of patriotism and solidarity in a ceremony officiated by Dr. Muhammad bin Md Nor, CEO of Menara Taming Sari who was representing Mr. Zairi Suboh, General Manager, Tourism Melaka Promotions division. Our management and associates were clad in their respective cultural outfits depicting the colors in our flag at the hotel lobby much to the delight of our hotel guests.
Commencing with the singing of the National anthem ‘Negaraku’ and ‘Melaka Maju Jaya’, our flag bearers led in a mini parade around our hotel lobby and waved our national and state flag while the rest of the team waived the mini flags as we sang our hearts out as one nation, one team to the song ‘Malaysia Bersih’. This was followed by the opening speech preceded from Mr. Klaus Sennik, General Manager for Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Melaka followed by Dr. Muhammad where he commended the hotel for taking the initiative to be part of the nations’ celebrations and hoped for other hotels to also do so.
The song “Sejahtera Malaysia” then ensued with the guests and staff singing in unity as they waved their flags in solidarity. The event came to a close with the “Merdeka” chant and the guests of honor being led out to the front of our hotel to give away mini flags to the public to signify our nations’ 62 years of independence and spread the patriotism amongst those around us.
During this month-long National Day celebration, the hotel has organized various activities and promotions to gear its guests and the public towards this patriotic celebration. We have organized a recycled artwork competition with the Merdeka theme to encourage the younger aged kids to participate and showcase their talent while instilling a nationalistic spirit. Various food and beverage as well as room promotions are lined up with attractive discount up to 31% to signify our nation’s Independence Day.
“We are always proud to be part of the nations’ celebrations especially the upcoming Merdeka Day”, said General Manager, Mr. Klaus Sennik. “We as a hotel are honored to celebrate our nations independence with love, unity, respect and mutual cooperation with each other as one race, one culture”, he added.
