Newton’s Third Law of Motion
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What are we going to do?
• Construct a booster fueled by a seltzer tablet
• Observe the chemical change to give it boost
• Create carbon dioxide to thrust the booster
![Page 4: Pressure and Motion](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062409/56814f87550346895dbd4054/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
How does it work?•Mix the water and a tablet
•Carbon dioxide (bowl and tablet)
•Film canister (gas has no where to go so the cap is blasted down and the rocket is blasted up)
•Rockets use the same system of thrust
Let’s make a rocket!

You will need:
•The center tube from a roll of toilet tissue
•A paper plate
•White film canister
•Some water
•One Alka Seltzer tablet
•Tape
