Light Featured Products Slider
For PrestaShop 1.5.x
Module Description Light Featured Products Slider is a PrestaShop module that showcases featured products on the homepage. Thanks to a modern design and easily managed functionality, the module is very simple to figure out and is a perfect complement for custom online stores. Light Featured Products Slider is represented with a block of two sliding containers: a small one carrying on a carousel ride filled with products’ thumbnail images and a big one displaying featured products one by one with a smooth transition effect. It takes up much less homepage space than standard Feature Products blocks and is much more interesting looking and configurable than alike modules. At the moment, module includes five builtin design themes to choose from (see the screenshots below) however, more themes will be coming along with the future product updates for free.

"Featured products on the homepage" ● Block title is manageable via admin end ● Takes up much less homepage space than the standard Featured Products modules. ● There are five builtin design themes that come with the module ● After installation, module is ready to use without any additional settings required
Installation 1. Go to your back end 2. Go to "Modules” > “Modules" menu 3. Hit "Add a new module" button 4. Hit "Choose File" and select lightfeaturedproductsslider.zip archive file 5. Hit "Upload this module" button
6. Finally, in the "Front Office Features" section, find "Featured products responsive slider on the homepage" and hit "Install" button next to it.
If for some reason, the slider is still not showing on your homepage, you may have to add a hook or clear Smarty cache. Just follow the steps listed below:
Adding a hook 1. In the "Front Office Features" section find "Light Featured Products Slider" module
and click "Configure" link underneath it. 2. Click "Manage hooks" link at the top of the page. 3. Hit "Transplant a module" button. 4. Select the following option in the "Hook into" dropdown:
○ for prestashop 1.5.4 and newer: "displayHome (Homepage content)" ○ for prestashop 1.5.3 and older: "Homepage content" known as "displayHome"
5. Hit "Save" button

How to clear Smarty cache (see a screenshot below) 1. On your back end, go to "Advanced Parameters" > "Performance" section. 2. Hit "Clear Smarty cache" button.
Configuration 1. Under "Modules” > “Modules" menu, in the "Front Office Features" section, find
"Light Featured Products Slider" module and click "Configure" link underneath it. 2. On the module page, you can configure the module with the available options in the
following way: ○ Name the slider block to have its title panel displaying on the front end (“Featured
Products” name is set by default). ○ Choose one of the available design themes (“Light” theme is set by default). ○ Enable automatic transition in the slider (checked off by default). ○ Define the transition delay period (enabled only if automatic transition option is
checked off). ○ Choose transition effect for the slider (“Fading” option is set by default). ○ Specify the number of products you want to have displaying in the carousel. ○ Define the number of products sliding on a click.
3. After you’re done with the changes, hit "Save" button at the bottom, otherwise you can always go back by clicking “Back” link at the top of the page.

Additional Instructions Below are some additional guidelines that may be helpful for adjusting the homepage of your online store.
How to disable standard modules like "Image slider for your homepage", "Featured products on the homepage" and/or any other modules you don’t want to have showing on the homepage:
1. On your back end, go to "Modules" > "Positions" section:

2. Find "Homepage content" section on the list and remove all the unnecessary modules:
How to reorder modules on the Homepage
1. On your back end, go to "Modules" > "Positions" section. 2. Find "Homepage content" section on the list, where the modules displaying on the
homepage are listed. Reorder modules in one of the following ways (see the screenshot below):
a. Move the cursor to the left module’s thumbnail picture until it becomes cross shaped with arrows. Drag and drop the module to the position you want.
b. Use the little ‘up’ and ‘down’ triangular arrows locating to the left of module’s thumbnail picture to move module’s position.
