 March 5, 2015 Dallas City Plan Commission City of Dallas 1500 Marilla Street Dallas, Texas 75201 Dear Commissioners, The Preston Hollow South Neighborhood Association represents 1,100 residential properties and 35 individual homeowner associations, located just north and east of Preston Center. Please do not approve Zoning Case #Z134-341 today, for the following reasons: The thirty five PHSNA Member Associations respectfully request additional time to arrive at a consensus on this important issue. The Associated Boards meet independently and at different times. The Association Members harbor serious concerns about prematurely granting approval for the skybridge requested in Zoning Case #Z134- 341. This SUP adversely impacts the vested rights of adjacent property owners in the use of this City Parking Garage. From my perspective, as the City appointed Taskforce Representative for 1500 + families in the PHSNA, any decision to alter the existing design for the access as well as egress to this City Parking Garage before the completion of the City’s Northwest Highway and Preston Road Area Plan adversely impacts the important work of the Taskforce in formulating a plan regulating future development in P reston Center. The major purpose and express intention of the Taskforce remains to address the transportation and parking needs of Preston Center West. Any action by the Commission furthering the goals of a single developer establishes an unreasonable precedent upon future design development.
