Race CommentSpeed map suggests a decent tempo here with a number of runners capable of pushing on. On first glances RAPTOR on form appears the one to beat however he definitely had his chance towin last start looming up on terms in the straight before turning his head sideways not wanting to go on with it. The start prior he was beaten by a horse sitting 3 wide without cover, notreally keen to take the likely short quote. MASTER BANGER at the better price may be a better option, not far away first up, kept fresh & the drop back to 1000m won't harm his chances.

Race CommentFocusing in mainly on the two runners here in THOMAS DE LAGO and LORD JUSTICE finding the pair difficult to split. THOMAS DE LAGO certainly appears close to a win, game 2nd here twostarts back when racing wide all the way before again wide without cover working hard in the run last start fighting on gamely right to the line. LORD JUSTICE has only had the one start whenhaving a bit against in the run yet beating all bar the first two across the line, he should take plenty of improvement from the outing & if able to overcome the wide gate will be right in thefinish. The early favourite GROUND ATTACK appears the only other major chance.

Race CommentThe speedmap may not be in MATSURIBAYASHI's favour however I'm hoping Placais can find a spot closer & if he can I do feel he's the one they have to beat. Narrowly defeated at this leveltwo starts back before up in grade & beating all bar the winner latest. Once again back down to his right level he will prove extremely hard to beat. The favourite OCULIST draws a good gate& looks very close to a win, must be included as the logical danger finishing close up all 4 starts here since arriving from Hong Kong. Those looking for bigger odds could have an interest inBILLY BRITAIN whose recent runs have been good enough to figure in the finish.

Race CommentTricky race this one, there's a number of runners with respectable grass track form who either haven't raced on or have raced on & not really handled the synthetic surface. VESONTIO mightbe worth a throw at the stumps for Wong & Tan, close up his last couple on the grass he has at least performed ok on the synthetic in the past & this is certainly no harder than those mostrecent efforts. PACIFIC OCEAN is an ex Kiwi galloper who hasn't raced over the mile since leaving home a fair while ago. He just about looks ready for another crack at it however is one of the'not yet handled synthetic' brigade. SUPERSONICSURPRISE definitely in the mix also whilst I'm happy to risk last start winner RAFALE.

Race CommentTough looking race. I have no doubt the opening favourite Mr Dujardin from the Lee Freedman camp will come in for futher good support however I wonder if he may be unders as he is rising ingrade against more seasoned campaigners & of course he is yet to race on the synthetic surface. Thought ROBIN HOOD represented a good chance at nice odds. He put in a terrific effort onthe synthetic three starts back & his last couple dropping back in distance on the grass have been fine particularly two back when zipping home late, the 1200m last time was just too short.Happy to back Robin Hood both win & place.

Race CommentNot sure what flicked the switch for BERLINETTA three starts back however the penny certainly dropped as he's really turned the corner with 2 wins & a 2nd since! Should he be able toproduce another solid effort here I really cant see any of the opposition beating him in their current form. Saifudin will likely push on, find a spot & from there he'll get his chance to win again.The class droppers often show up in these Class 5's, here it's BRILLIANT ONE however he will need the breaks as his form is average at best, just one to keep an eye on market wise though.

Race CommentJULIUS CAESAR has been really finding the line well of late over the shorter trips & could be the best way to play what does appear an open affair. Can't say I'm wrapped he's rising so sharplyin the weights however the step up to 1200m looks a suitable one. Honestly I'm giving chances to many including DUTROW, CHARGER, ASTROJET & D'GREAT BOSS. Even the resuming VALE OFJUSTICE is not without some hope.

Race CommentGoing with the ex Australian MADE IN RUSSIA who is having his first start for the Lee Freedman yard. He showed a good turn of speed at his limited amount of starts back home, has trialledwell enough & right in the thick of it early market wise. Obviously betting closer to race time all important though. Confident both FLAK JACKET & DESPACITO can run well, drawn good gatestheir best form has them both right in the mix & they each drop back from stronger grade races last start.

Race CommentVery hard to go past the well performed IMPERIUM who resumes from a break having performed very well at his initial campaign only missing the place once in 5 starts & he did have excuseson that occasion. Bolted in a recent synthetic track trial when never out if first gear & just looks all set for a first up victory. KING OF WAR continues to race consistently however just can'tseem to break through. SOLDADO has the recent form to figure however will need to overcome a wide gate.
