THE NEW INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM AND MEETING POINT FOR FUEL RETAIL, HANDLING AND DISTRIBUTION

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS IN ASIA

The Asia Pacific region is the most significant developing fuel retail region in the world along with Latin America. The Asia Pacific region demand for energy is likely to rise by 50% and oil by 40% over the coming 2 decades. On the fuel supply side development of the fuel retail network and fuel distribution infrastructure are a huge challenge. In Malaysia and Singapore fuel retail markets, employing tech-nology (mobile payments), loyalty programme and generating revenues from ancillary services like the c-store are now fundamental to network development.

The Philippines has seen a transformation of the fuel retail network in terms of independent players like Eastern Petroleum, Phoenix Petroleum and Seaoil Franchise. The international Caltex brand has changed and developed its relationship with the dealer

network market. In Australia and Myanmar, we have seen the arrival of new global players like Puma Energy and Viva. China and India have witnessed a revolution in fuel retail network numbers where consolidation remains a key strategy. Companies like Bharat Petroleum have a loyalty programme with +2 million members!

PetrolWorld has covered all these regions over the last 12 years and held forum events in all of the countries mentioned above. The Fuel Retail Conference 2018 will now bring the markets together as a key international meeting point. This in turn will evolve into an important industry platform alongside ASEAN in the future.

+ EDITOR'S LETTER

Welcome to our Uniti Preview Issue!

We planned the delay in publication of this first issue of 2018 to be distributed closer to the Uniti Expo.

Our first feature on page 6 is about the current status of BP global downstream. The last two years have seen a new strategy from BP in downstream and in particular, the redevelopment of its international fuel retail and distribution. The resurrection and development of the BP brand in key international markets outside of Europe has been striking.

The Uniti Preview starts on page 12 with a brief introduction and interview followed by a summary of the key international equipment and solution providers together with stand numbers and contact details. The Uniti preview is followed by European news from page 25.

Product & Suppliers news starts on page 44 and we have a special “Introduction to Mobile Commerce” as feature on page 50. Two pages of ‘People on the Move’ on page 54 in this issue.

It is 20 years since PetrolWorld started its first ASPEC Business Forum back in 2018. Last year we held the First Independent Asia Fuel Retail & Distribution Conference with supporting Expo. The 2nd Asia Fuel Retail & Distribution Conference and supporting Expo will take place in Kuala Lumpur on 26th -27th June 2018. We have integrated news update on this event on page 31. Our next issue will be published earlier so we can distribute in time for the Kuala Lumpur event.

The Competition Commission has recommended to the Competition Tribunal that the proposed 75% acquisition of Chevron SA by Chinese firm SOIHL Hong Kong Holding Limited be approved, with conditions.

SOIHL will be a new entrant into the South African fuel market. “The proposed transaction is unlikely to substantially prevent

or lessen competition in any of the identified markets. However, to alleviate any possible loss of employment post-merger, as well as any potential impact on CSA’s retired employees, and in respect of other public interest issues raised by the Department of Economic Development, the commission recommends that conditions be imposed which address the identified public interest concerns,” the commission says.

Sinopec has agreed to establish an office in SA to co-ordinate and oversee its midstream and downstream operations in the country, and to use SA as the platform to oversee operations in the rest of Africa.

Sinopec has also agreed that no employees will be retrenched as a result of the merger. Other commitments relate to investing in the Cape Town refinery with a view to creating a world-class facility. Sinopec also made undertakings in respect of CSA’s wholesale and retail chains; by-products and logistics; local procurement; exportation of locally manufactured products; and broad-based black economic empowerment.

Vitol IPO in Europe & Australia

Vitol Group and Carlyle Group have announced plans for a stock market listing of their European refiner and fuel service station operator Varo Energy. There is also talk of IPO for Viva Australia .

Varo, also owned by Dutch investment firm Reggeborgh Invest, is expected to list shares on the Amsterdam stock exchange “in the coming weeks”. It is aiming for a valuation of €2bn. Varo, which operates refineries in Switzerland and Germany with crude processing capacity of 165,000 barrels a day, produces and supplies fuels from diesel and petrol for cars to fuel oil for ships and bitumen for road construction. It also has 144 fuel distribution facilities and 232 fuel service stations.

Plans for an IPO come as Europe’s refineries have performed well during a collapse in oil prices that boosted margins as demand for refined products remained robust. These businesses have been favored by investors and energy majors alike for generating profits even as exploration and production arms have suffered.

PetrolWorld also note that rumours persist that Vitol, is understood to have kicked off early preparations for a float of the Viva business in Australia, which comprises a refinery in Geelong and a network of about 20 fuel import terminals and could be worth as much as $5 billion in total.

The commodities trader is understood to have hired Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank to handle a potential IPO. The final size of the float depends on the scale of the sell-down of the business, which also owns interests in about 1100 Shell-branded fuel service stations.

A Viva Energy spokeswoman declined to respond to “market speculation”, while signalling that potential alternative ownership structures for the business are being examined.

BP Downstream New Global StrategyIntroduction by David Egan

Up to the summer of 2014 when the oil price dropped, BP downstream and in particular the BP fuel retail network and distribution network had been reduced considerably in size and geography from its high global position at the turn of the century.

BP changed its strategy in 2015 and since then there has been nearly 300 news items related to BP fuel retail and downstream within the PetrolWorld Global News Service. 200 of these news items have been published in

the last eighteen months! This compares to 52 downstream and retail marketing news items in 2012 and less then 30 in 2009.

The news items have covered the emergence of a new BP strategy in downstream and fuel supply and the recent BP results for 2017 stated “one of the best years in recent history’. The BP Report on Downstream for 2017 is the basis for our feature article and reflects a new global approach to fuel supply by the BP Executive Management team.

Page 9: PREVIEW TO UNITI EXPO - Petrol World

PETROLWORLDIssue 1 2018

Our premium fuel volumes grew by 6% in 2017 and generated margins that are higher than our standard grades. With a retail network that spans 19 countries, we have one of the top three positions in terms of market share in most of the markets where we operate.

But we’re not stopping there. We also have a significant and growing retail convenience partnership offer which we plan to continue to expand across our markets. This builds on the success we have had with other industry leading food retailers – like M&S Simply

Food® and REWE to go®. Our loyalty schemes, such as PAYBACK® and Nectar®,are helping to strengthen customer relationships in key markets – with loyalty card customers tending to shop more frequently and spend more per visit.

We are also expanding our global portfolio into major growth markets such as Mexico, China and Indonesia. For the first time in 75 years, companies outside Mexico can invest in its fuels market. We were the first global brand to open retail sites there in early 2017

and by the end of the year we had more than 120 BP-branded sites, serving thousands of customers a day. Mexico is one of the world’s largest consumer gasoline and diesel markets globally and we plan to have around 1,500 sites by 2021.

Financial results

Sales and other operating revenues in 2017 were higher due to higher crude and product prices as well as higher sales volumes. Sales and other operating revenues in 2016 were lower

than 2015 due to lower crude and product prices.

Replacement cost (RC) profit before interest and tax for the year ended 31 December 2017 included a net non-operating gain of $389 million, primarily reflecting the gain on disposal of our share in the SECCO joint venture in petrochemicals. The 2016 result included a net nonoperating charge of $24 million, mainly relating to a gain on disposal in our fuels business which was more than offset by restructuring and other charges, while the 2015 result included a net non-operating charge of $590 million, mainly relating to restructuring charges. In addition, fair value accounting effects had an adverse impact of $135 million, compared with an adverse impact of $448 million in 2016 and a favourable impact of $156 million in 2015.

After adjusting for non-operating items and fair value accounting effects, underlying RC profit before interest and tax in 2017 was $6,967 million.

Outlook for 2018

We anticipate higher discounts for North American heavy crude oil differentials but lower industry refining margins. We also expect the level of turnaround

activity to be similar in total, although higher in our petrochemicals business.

Our fuels business

Our fuels strategy focuses primarily on fuels value chains (FVCs). This includes building an advantaged refining portfolio through operating reliability and efficiency, location advantage and feedstock flexibility, as well as commercial optimization opportunities. We believe that having a quality refining portfolio connected to strong marketing positions is core to our integrated FVC businesses as this provides optimization opportunities in highly competitive markets.

Our fuels marketing business comprises retail, business-to-business and aviation fuels. It is a material part of Downstream with a good track record of growth. We have an advantaged portfolio of assets with good growth potential, attractive returns and reliable cash flows. We continue to grow our fuels marketing business through our differentiated marketing offers and strategic convenience partnerships. We also partner with leading retailers, creating distinctive retail offers that aim to deliver good returns and reliable profit growth and cash generation.

Underlying RC profit before interest and tax for our fuels business was higher compared with 2016, reflecting stronger refining performance and growth in fuels marketing, partially offset by a weaker contribution from supply and trading. Compared with 2015, the 2016 result was lower, reflecting a significantly weaker refining environment and the impact from a particularly large turnaround at our Whiting refinery. This was partially offset by lower costs, reflecting the benefits from our simplification and efficiency programmes, an increased fuels marketingperformance driven by retail growth and higher refining margin capturein our operations.

Refining marker margin

We track the refining margin environment using a global refining marker margin (RMM). Refining margins are a measure of the difference between the price a refinery pays for its inputs (crude oil) and the market price of its products. Although refineries produce a variety of petroleum products, we track the margin environment using a simplified indicator that reflects the margins achieved on gasoline and diesel only. The RMM may not be representative of the margin achieved by BP in any period because of BP’s

Page 11: PREVIEW TO UNITI EXPO - Petrol World

PETROLWORLDIssue 1 2018

Feature > BP Downstream Section 1 9

particular refinery configurations and crude and product slates. In addition, the RMM does not include estimates of energy or other variable costs.

The average global RMM in 2017 was $14.1/bbl, $2.3/bbl higher than in 2016. The increase was driven by tighter global supply demand balances as well as lower product inventories compared with 2016.

Refining

At 31 December 2017 we owned or had a share in 11 refineries producing refined petroleum products that we supply to retail and commercial customers.

Underlying growth in our refining business is underpinned by our multi-year business improvement plans, which comprise globally consistent programmes focused on operating reliability and efficiency, advantaged feedstocks and commercial optimization. Operating reliability is a core foundation of our refining business and in 2017 operations remained strong, with refining availability sustained at around 95.3%, refinery utilization rates at 90% (2016 91%) and overall throughputs in 2017 higher compared with 2016.

Our refinery portfolio – along with our supply capability – enables us to process advantaged crudes. For example, in the US, our three refineries all have locationadvantaged access to Canadian crudes which are typically cheaper than other crudes. In 2017 we processed record levels of advantaged crude across our portfolio. Our commercial optimization programme aims to maximize value from our refineries by capturing opportunities in every step of the value chain, from crude selection through to yield optimization and utilization improvements.

Refining performance was stronger in 2017 compared with 2016, reflecting continued strong operational performance, capturing higher industry refining margins, efficiency benefits as well as increased commercial optimization including the benefits of higher levels of advantaged feedstock. This was, however, partially offset by a higher level of planned turnaround activity. This stronger performance in 2017 resulted in an underlying improvement of more than 15% in our net cash margin per barrel. Compared with 2015, refining performance in 2016 was lower, reflecting a significantly weaker

refining environment and the impact of a particularly large turnaround at the Whiting refinery. This was partially offset by higher refining margin capture in our operations and lower costs from our simplification and efficiency programmes.

Fuels marketing and logistics

Across our fuels marketing businesses, we operate an advantaged infrastructure and logistics network that includes pipelines, storage terminals and tankers for road and rail. We seek to drive excellence in operational and transactional processes and deliver compelling customer offers in the various markets where we operate. Through our retail business, we supply fuel and convenience retail services to consumers through company-owned and franchised retail sites, as well as other channels, including dealers and jobbers. We also supply commercial customers in the transport and industrial sectors.

Retail is the most material part of our fuels marketing business and a significant source of earnings growth through our strong market positions, brands and distinctive customer offers. This is underpinned by the strength of our retail convenience partnerships,

A woman and her young child look at cold drinks at a BP service

PETROLWORLD Issue 1 2018

10 Section 1 Feature > BP Downstream

technology such as our most advanced premium fuels and our use of digital technology, as well as our customer relationships. This differentiation enables our growth in existing markets and supports our plans to expand our footprint in new material markets such as Mexico, India, Indonesia and China. In Mexico we became the first international oil company to open a branded network since deregulation of the fuel market, and we announced new retail joint ventures in Indonesia and, most recently, China in February 2018.

We have a clear strategic frame to develop new customer offers in mobility and to transition our business to a lower carbon future over the longer term, building on our capabilities, retail assets and brand strengths. We are actively developing new offers and business models centred around digital and advanced mobility trends, for example we have invested in FreeWire Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of mobile electric vehicle rapid charging systems, and we have plans to roll out FreeWire’s Mobi Charger units at selected BP retail sites in Europe in 2018, see Innovation in BP on page 46. Our acquisition of Clean Energy Fuel Corporation’s biomethane production assets in 2017 means we are now the largest supplier of renewable natural gas to the US transport sector.

In 2017, we also completed the initial public offering of common units in BP Midstream Partners LP, our subsidiary, which has interests in certain crude oil, natural gas and refined product pipelines in the US.

Fuels marketing performance in 2017 was higher compared with 2016, reflecting continued earnings growth supported by higher premium fuel volumes, which

grew by 6%, and the continued rollout of our convenience partnership model to over 220 more sites, bringing the total number of convenience partnership sites to 1,100 across our retail network. Compared with 2015, fuels marketing performance in 2016 was higher, reflecting retail growth.

Aviation

Our Air BP business is one of the world’s largest aviation fuels suppliers, selling fuel to major commercial airlines as well as the general aviationsector in over 800 locations across more than 50 countries globally. We also provide aviation fuel consultancy services to airlines and airports including the design, build and operation of aviation fuelling facilities. Our Air BP business is differentiated through its strong market positions, brand strength, partnerships, technology and customer relationships. Our strategy aims to maintain a strong presence in our core locations in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the US, while expanding into major growth markets that offer long-term competitive advantages, such as in Asia and Latin America. We have marketing sales of more than 420,000 barrels per day, and in 2017 began marketing in Mexico, one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets.

We are developing new offers and solutions in response to the needs of our customers. In 2017 we entered into a strategic partnership and preferred fuel supplier agreement with Victor, one of the world’s leading on-demand marketplaces for private jet charters. We also recognize the lower carbon commitments of the airline industry and continue to develop our capability to meet the industry’s needs. In 2017 we began supply of jet biofuel at two further

locations in Sweden and Norway, in addition to Norway’s Oslo airport where in 2016, we became the world’s first supplier for commercial jet biofuel using existing fuelling infrastructure.

Supply and trading

Our integrated supply and trading function is responsible for delivering value across the overall crude and oil products supply chain. This structure enables our downstream businesses to maintain a single interface with oil trading markets and operate with one set of trading compliance and risk management processes, systems and controls. It has a two-fold purpose:

First, it seeks to identify the best markets and prices for our crude oil, source optimal raw materials for our refineries and provide competitive supply for our marketing businesses. We will often sell our own crude and purchase alternative crudes from third parties for our refineries where this will provide incremental margin.

Second, it aims to create and capture incremental trading opportunitiesby entering into a full range of exchange-traded commodity derivatives, over-the-counter contracts and spot and term contracts . In combination with rights to access storage and transportation capacity, this allows it to access advantageous price differences between locations and time periods, and to arbitrage between markets.

The function has trading offices in Europe, North America and Asia. Our presence in the more actively traded regions of the global oil markets supports overall understanding of the supply and demand forces across these markets.

Held every 2nd year, the Uniti Expo 2018 will be the 3rd Expo held in Stuttgart since it first opened its doors back in June 2014. PetrolWorld is proud to be associated with this important European exhibition as International Media Partner. This preview has a brief interview with Bruno Boroewitsch followed by a summary of key international supplier companies who are exhibiting. You can also view this article on line at petrolworld.NET.

Four years ago in 2014, I decided to drive to the first UNITI expo from my hometown of Dublin. Having lived in the Stuttgart region nearly three decades ago, it was to be a journey of nstalgia as well as the fuel retail experience driving across Europe.

I had done this once before with Automechanika in 2002, when I drove from Warsaw office to Frankfurt for the event and then on to London, where I resided at the time. The fuel retail

experience and issues for the consumer in Europe has changed quite a lot. While I have written about these fuel retail experiences, I have promised myself to write about the journey’s themselves at some stage!

This year I fly direct from Dublin to Stuttgart like other fuel retailers and equipment distributors from Ireland. My hotel close to the airport was organised a long time ago and will be practical for spending time at the Expo halls and seminar programs. Looking forward to meet up and find out the latest products and news in Europe.

DE - How does the Expo this year compare to 2016?BB - UNITI expo 2018 is going to be bigger than ever. We have increased the exhibition space by 20% to 40,000m2 – we had around 35,000m2 in 2016. That has obviously brought an increase in the amount of exhibitors (we expect around 450 from 38 different countries) and the size of the booths. In 2016, we had 425 exhibitors from 36 countries. We expect to exceed the 15.000 attendance achieved in 2016.

In terms of areas, the car wash sector will be even more represented with a 60% growth compared to the previous edition, while the convenience area has also increased significantly. Forecourt technology will remain to be the biggest themed area.

In addition to those areas, this year we will have a 150m2 area exclusively dedicated to alternative fuels where companies will display the latest products and developments.

DE - What seminars and workshops are taking place alongside the Expo?BB - We will have three forums spread throughout the three exhibition halls.

The International Forum will be based around three main topics, each having a dedicated day: market developments around the world, alternative fuels and payments. The Car Wash Forum will have a new format that includes innovation talks (suppliers can show their latest innovations and attendees can ask questions and give their feedback) as well as conferences on payment and marketing. Finally, the UNITI expo forum, where we will have a number of celebrities such as TV chefs, sports personalities and others making various presentations around ‘shop and convenience’. The conference programme is available on the UNITI expo website.

DE -What are the new trends that are being established in the service station sector in Germany? BB - Some of the big brands are divesting while convenience is getting more important: new partnerships between Rewe and Aral or Shell with Starbucks are paving the way for more convenience at service stations. More and more petrol stations now include alternative fuels (CNG, hydrogen, e-charging). There has been a change in the function and operating side of

the services stations, especially in the drinks and food sector. The number of fuel service stations is fairly stable with independent retailers becoming more important. In the car wash sector we see a trend towards higher service quality with more sophisticated machines. At UNITI expo we will actually have a 150m2

dedicated area for alternative fuels.

Digitalization is bringing a lot of changes to the fuels market. Most big brands are developing their own mobile apps, which will allow them to offer mobile payments, have increased loyalty and to interact with their customers in new, beneficial ways. The biggest impact we can currently see in the market is digitalization of society and the growing importance of on-the-go consumption. A lot of technology professionals and retailers are waiting on more specific regulations before they jump into the digitalization of service stations.

DE - UNITI expo is key international event for fuel retail in Europe. What is Uniti aspirations and strategy for the future?BB - In a period of 5 years, UNITI expo has become the leading trade fair in Europe for the fuel retailing and car wash sectors. We are probably one of the leading international trade shows in the world for this industry with visitors from over 110 countries. Our plan is to continue playing this essential role for the industry and carry on growing. UNITI expo will continue to take place every two years. Going forward our aspirations are to stay ahead of the challenges of the future, representing key areas such as alternative fuels and modern car wash systems, as well as serving as a link between the convenience world and fuel retailers. We will always adapt our concepts to the future needs of the market.

DE – Thank you Bruno and best wishes to your team. See you in Stuttgart!

• The new features and optional extras of the ISTOBAL M’NEX32 rollover maximise car wash efficiency and quality and create a customised, user-friendly experience.

• A wide range of jet wash accessories make car caring easy and fun.

• A new advanced physical recycler improves the quality of recycled water and prevents microorganisms like Legionella.

SPAIN (10- March -2018).- ISTOBAL, the Spanish group specialised in high quality car wash and car care solutions for the automotive industry will launch its smart technologies at Uniti Expo 2018, seeking to increase equipment productivity, enhance the user experience, and protect the environment with sustainable solutions. From 15 to 17 May, the Spanish company will participate in the German trade fair to present its latest developments and boost growth in Europe.

At Stand 1J06, the Spanish group will demonstrate the ISTOBAL M’NEX32 rollover, including new features and optional extras. Its payment terminal is now equipped with the new Smartdrive, a system that allows users to select a basic wash program and add different extras based on their needs and preference (e.g. insect remover, Glossy Tears wax, rainwater repellent, or rim spray, among others). Users will also be able to enjoy their car wash experience inside or outside the vehicle thanks to a number of devices that add to safety and comfort.

The new Xtract Dosing System by ISTOBAL will also be demonstrated. The company has redesigned the dosing system used with ISTOBAL esens® products to simplify handling and improve control of the washing process and the amount of chemicals. Using pure product, the new system generates

less waste: a 2-litre bottle ensures the same number of services as the standard 20 or 25-litre container.

Other ISTOBAL M’NEX32 novelties at Uniti Expo include lit-up centring guides or a foamy rim spray which, in combination with ISTOBAL wheel wash systems, removes stubborn dirt thanks to its high foaming power and the penetration of product all over the wheel surface.

At the jet wash area, visitors will see the ISTOBAL n’joyavant for 2 bays. The cabinet-fitted equipment includes a boiler, a water recirculation system for frost prevention, and all treatment and disinfection devices for mains, recirculated and osmotized water. Likewise, a wide range of jet wash accessories designed to make car washing easier, more comfortable and fun will be presented: bicycle racks and accessories to be able to hang your helmet and your jacket, or children’s spray guns to turn car washing into a family leisure activity. Other initiatives intended to surprise users include on-bay fragrance systems and special lighting for night washing.

Water treatment solutions to improve recycled water quality and prevent Legionella are some of the novelties.

At UNITI Expo 2018, ISTOBAL will present a new advanced physical recycler that improves the quality of recycled water, reducing solids, turbidity, odours, surfactants and organic matter thanks to high-yield filtration. Additionally, the recycler’s disinfection system doses a disinfectant agent into the recycled water tank and prevents microorganisms such as Legionella.

In the stand area dedicated to ISTOBAL esens® chemicals, the company will present the Xtract Mixing System, a device for greater convenience, higher speeds and added safety thanks to the automatic dilution and mixing of chemical products. Its main advantages include a reduction in C02 emissions, 90% less waste, and smaller storage requirements.

The ISTOBAL esens® range will also be on display, including the Xtract superconcentrates and cleaning and car care accessories such as Combo, the all-in-one system that includes a vacuum cleaner, a tyre gauge and pump, a fragrance sprayer, dashboard and tyre polish, and a hose with water or windscreen fluid.

Nigeria: Gastab Fuel Retail Network Expansion

A fourth fuel service station has been launched by an independent fuel marketer, Saheed Adigun, popularly known as Oba Mobil, trading under Gastab Oil and Gas, at N142 per liter.

In an effort to mitigate the suffering already tolerated by the helpless mass, Oba Mobil has been selling below the fuel station price, at between N141 and N143, when fuel became very scarce. He believed that the little gain was more beneficial than bigger margin in profits without corresponding achievements that would be long lasting. Source: The Eagle online

Zambia: Puma Energy & Visa Electronic Fuel Payment Partnership

Visa has partnered with Puma Energy Zambia Plc in an 8-week national consumer fuel promotion.

Minister of Energy, Honorable Mathew Nkhuwa, said “I would like to urge other stakeholders in the energy sector to support the growth of this sector.” He commended Visa and Puma Energy Zambia Plc in partnering in an innovative initiative that seeks to offer a convenient electronic payment solution to the motoring public.

Puma Energy Zambia Plc Managing Director, Yahaya Yunusa said, “It is

estimated that about one billion United States dollars is transacted through service stations in Zambia every year. In most cases, motorists use cash for transactions, which require them to first draw the cash from the nearest bank or ATM, and then proceed to the service station to buy the fuel. You will agree with me that this process is not only cumbersome and time consuming, but also unsafe and expensive.”

Visa has undertaken to align its business strategy with client banks, and the efforts of the Zambian Government to fast track digitization of secure payments and financial inclusion, by championing safe financial transactions.

Trafigura Group Pte Ltd has announced the signing of a Sale and Purchase agreement for the majority of the downstream assets of Pampa Energia S.A. These assets include over 250 fuel service

stations, the Ricardo Elicabe (BBR) refinery located in Bahia Blanca, and a lubricants manufacturing facility in Avellaneda in Argentina, as well as a fuel storage terminal in Caleta Paula, in the province of Santa Cruz which serves the southern region of Argentina.

“Trafigura believes that the Argentine market has strong growth potential and intends to position itself as a long-term fuel supplier of choice to the country,” said Patricio Norris, co-head of Oil and Gas for Trafigura in America. “Puma Energy is a recognized brand with historical relevance in Argentina as it began its life here before expanding across the Americas. There is currently a significant shortfall in the production capacity of premium fuels in Argentina. By acquiring Pampa’s downstream assets we will be able to build our ability to offer customers high quality fuels in a reliable and competitively priced way.” The transaction is intended to close in early 2018.

Bolivia: Biofuel Retail Network Expansion Plans

Biopetrol plans to close the year with a 20% growth in sales volumes.

In the 2017, the management of Biopetrol entered another phase of expansion, with the support of the shareholders. The company’s registration with the Stock Exchange has been initiated, thereby strengthening the company financially, and has been working to achieve alliances with important investment groups as well.

In 2017, sales volumes grew by 15%. With the chain expanding to new locations and acquiring new units, the company grew by 16% in 2016. In the last three to four years, due to increase in the number of stations, vehicular natural gas has been affected by a decrease in their volumes. In 2016, the network lowered its NGV volumes by approximately 10%.

The sector was affected by a gradual increase in costs, in addition to market issues. This forced to improve processes seeking efficiency. In 2017 the firm renewed its strategies, focusing more on reaching sales goals. With this, at least 20% growth is estimated over the previous year.

The liquid fuel sales sector is affected by having a low profit margin. This has probably slowed the development of

the sector, this is clearly seen when one travels abroad and observes more complete, more comprehensive service stations, where the customer can find more than just the sale of fuel, but also other types of services. Biopetrol has five projects in its final phase.

There are other social responsibility projects in addition to the expansion in service stations. Prepaid cards or Gift Card Biopetrol cards will be marketed starting this month.

The fund is to expand the network of electric vehicle charging and alternative refueling stations. The future of transportation lies in electric, hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles.

The government is offering more options to drive clean while supporting a cleaner environment, even as Canadians continue to make greener choices.

As part of the government’s endeavors to encourage Canadians to reduce their carbon footprint, a $120-million investment has been declared by the government to expand the network of electric vehicle charging and alternative refueling stations across the nation.

Building on the success of the initial $62.5-million Phase 1 investment in 2017 that provided funding for more than 100 electric vehicle fast-charging stations, seven natural gas refueling stations and three hydrogen refueling stations across Canada, the total investment stands at $182.5 million. 10 demonstration projects and the building of another 200 next-generation electric vehicle charging stations will also be supported by this amount.

Central Oregon Fuel Service Stations Allow Self Service

Regardless of a new law allowing self-serve fuel in rural counties, fuel stations in two Central Oregon counties will continue to pump fuel for customers. One of two states that don’t allow customers to pump their fuel is Oregon. A new law passed in May allows Oregon counties to deviate from that.

However, several station managers said their attendants would continue servicing patrons’ cars, and said that they weren’t sure regular customers even knew how to operate the fuel dispensers at the service stations. “Our regular, longtime customers love coming here and talking to us while we pump their fuel,” said Shelby Perkins, a cashier at a 76 station in Prineville.

The Culver Shell & Feed in Prineville is part of the handful of fuel service stations that are ready for self-service. “We are going to take advantage of it,” said owner Jeffrey Honeywell. Source: Register Guard

PETROLWORLD 03012017Editors Note: While the international perception to the USA would be one of surprise that there are states that did not allow self serve at the fuel service station, two key points are reflected in this news item. The first is the obvious ‘custom’ at rural fuel service stations, not just in the USA but throughout the world where fuel service stations are more than a refueling point but a social meeting point. The second point to be made is to highlighting the wide divergence of fuel retail regulations in the United States; something that is not well understood from an international perspective.

MFA Oil Acquires Cardie Oil

A farmer-owned energy supply cooperative, MFA Oil Company has acquired the propane and refined fuel operations of independent retailer Cardie Oil, Inc.Jon Ihler, MFA Oil vice president of sales and marketing, said “This addition broadens our marketing territory, moving us further west in

Kansas and complements our existing operations within the state. As we grow our customer base in Kansas, we remain focused on delivering the same level of excellent service and support that customers have grown accustomed to from Cardie Oil.”

In the last three years, the acquisition is the sixth company MFA Oil has acquired in the Sunflower State. Oil has the resources and technology to help us offer even better customer service and improve our operations. We are looking forward to a great future together, and think that this is a great opportunity for our customers and employees,” said Craig Settle, president of Cardie Oil.

MFA Oil will continue evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities in its existing market areas and other states where it can increase its footprint.

Eric Lockwood, Motiva general manager of business operations responsible for 76 branded sales, said “Motiva was extremely successful at marketing the 76 brand in 2017. Together with our wholesalers, we introduced the 76 brand to new markets through numerous local events and sponsorships and initiated a targeted social marketing campaign to drive consumers to 76 branded fuel service stations in our licensed geography. By expanding our sales team in 2018, we can focus on a much wider segment of our geography, targeting the best wholesalers in every market to further support penetration of the 76 brand.”

Motiva concentrated its 76 brand marketing efforts and wholesaler engagements in 2017, in three key markets – Texas, the Greater New York region and Georgia. Motiva will be enabled by the additional sales support announced recently, to engage wholesalers across its entire licensed geography, including all 26 gulf and east coast states and Washington D.C.

“The 76 brand has been a great addition to our portfolio and will be a priority brand for us as we expand our network. Given the strong site performance after branding our first 16 fuel service stations in southwest Texas, we’ve recently signed an agreement in Houston that will increase our 76 site count considerably,” said Barry Bierenbaum, chairman of Mountain Express Oil Company.

Manny Payan, Motiva’s newest 76 business development manager, said that after conversations with wholesalers throughout her geography, it has become obvious just how much of an appetite there is for a new branding option for their sites. “I’m looking forward to reaching out to my contacts to demonstrate the market advantages and Motiva’s unique marketing approach of the 76 brand.”

Seven & i Holdings & Sunoco Deal

26 fuel service stations will be sold to Sunoco while Sunoco will retain 33 fuel service stations

The Tokyo-based parent company of the 7-Eleven network of stores, Seven & i Holdings Co Ltd, has chosen to sell and divest some of its stores in its proposed $3.3 billion acquisition of 1,100 Sunoco LP (SUN.N) outlets.

7-Eleven, under the terms of the consent agreement, will sell 26 fuel service stations that it owns to Sunoco, and Sunoco will retain 33 fuel service stations that 7-Eleven otherwise would have acquired. The acquisition would harm competition, without the sales, in 76 local markets across 20 metropolitan areas and potentially result in higher prices.

As Sunoco will convert the fuel service stations retained and acquired from

7-Eleven from company-owned sites to stations run by independent operators, the deal will preserve competition.

Located in 35 states, the U.S. network of 7-Elevens consists of approximately 8,500 stores. 7-Eleven must provide notice for 10 years of plans to acquire additional fuel service stations in the 76 local areas, under the agreement. With the aim to focus on its fuel supply business, Sunoco announced the deal to sell the 1,000 convenience stores to 7-Eleven’s U.S. unit.

Zips Car Wash Crosses 100 Stores By Jett Express Acquisition

Continuing with its expansion drive of last year when it acquired nearly 50 stores, Zips Car Wash has purchased Jett Express Car Wash and its nine stores.

“We are thrilled to grow into Dallas-Fort Worth and feel like this is just the beginning of a great adventure for us in this part of the state,” said Brett Overman, founder and chairman of Zips Car Wash. “We plan to bring the ‘Zips Way’ culture, Unlimited Wash Clubs and eventually more stores to the area.”

John Unangst, former President of Jett Express Wash, said, “Zips was the right company to sell to. They are so organized and professional, and as I have met more of the team, their awesome personalities confirm for me that Zips is one of the few companies that will work hard to improve on what I’ve already worked so hard to build.”

Even though car washing in the Texas climate is no new adventure for the company, the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with its dense population and rapid growth is an exciting challenge for the Zips team, to serve customers both competently and with the best carwash in town.

“While we have stores in growing cities across the country, we are extremely excited to gain a presence in Dallas-Fort Worth. For us, it’s more than just washing cars,” said Harrison Hemphill, COO of Zips Car Wash. He added that one of their first duties would be to train the excellent teams they are inheriting from Jett in the ‘Zips Way’ culture with their goal being to train and equip team members for their role in the company, as well as, help them advance in and reach their personal life goals.

Edenred To Acquire 51% Timex Card Distributor Stake

Edenred, through its subsidiary UTA, is acquiring a 51% stake in its distributor Timex Card based in Poland, which also operates in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine.

UTA will begin its own operations in Bulgaria. Across these six countries, nearly 1,800 transportation companies use today UTA solutions, which provide access to a network of more than 54,000 partner fuel service stations.

This will strengthen the position of UTA, the number two Europe-wide issuer of multi-brand fuel cards, in Eastern Europe and thereby help speed up the development of its offering in this dynamic region. Poland is indeed Europe’s leading international transportation market and, together with the Baltic States account for almost 35% of the European cabotage market in terms of metric tons per kilometer.

These operations are in line with the development strategy of Edenred’s Fleet and mobility solutions in Eastern Europe, a region where the Group is already solidly established through its Employee Benefits business.

Antoine Dumurgier, Chief Operating Officer of Edenred Fleet & Mobility solutions says, “One year ago, when Edenred became the majority shareholder of UTA, we expressed our willingness to accelerate the commercial development of its heavy fleet solutions in Eastern Europe. With the acquisition of Timex Card, we seize a unique opportunity to rapidly increase our presence in high-growth markets”.

Volker Huber, Chief Executive Officer of UTA says, “By becoming a majority shareholder in Timex Card and establishing its own operations in Bulgaria, UTA will be even closer to its clients and thereby be able to accelerate the development of its offer”.

Andrzej Sklodowski, Chief Executive Officer of Timex Card, “Combining Edenred’s strong market presence with UTA’s

Dover Global Manufacturing Centre Grand Opening in India

Dover Fueling Solutions is pleased to announce the opening of its manufacturing plant in Navi Mumbai, India.

The state-of-the-art facility demonstrates the DFS culture of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, health and safety, quality and customer focus. It spans 90,000 square feet and has the capacity to produce 20,000 fuel dispensers per year.

Sankha Bhattacharya, General Manager of DFS and OPW India says, “We’re confident our new manufacturing facility in Mumbai aptly showcases the steps we have taken to innovate our manufacturing practices, as well as the significant time invested by our global leadership team to understand and address the unique needs of this market”.

“This is an exciting day representing DFS’ strong commitment to deliver quality products to the fuel retail industry not only globally but in this region. Through our persistent actions and investment, we aspire to become the chosen partner for fuel retail end-to-end solutions.”

Along with DFS dispenser products with advanced fraud prevention technologies, the factory will also produce fuel

retailing offerings of DFS sister company OPW. All are specifically designed for the requirements of the India, Africa and Middle East markets. This new production facility will help deliver products manufactured to the same high standards that customers have come to expect from all DFS global manufacturing sites.

David Crouse, President of Dover Fueling Solutions says, “Currently, we have manufacturing facilities in the USA, the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, China, and Brazil and previously had a manufacturing facility for Tokheim in Navi Mumbai. Dover’s aspirations for this market and surrounding region require an exceptional manufacturing facility, which we are creating with this new factory”.

“India is one of the key best-value countries from a manufacturing and sourcing perspective. We now seek to expand our strategic partnerships with our customers by bringing cutting edge technology and solutions in the dispenser and automation systems space.”

range of high-quality solutions and the industry experience of Timex Card, which has been a distributor for more than 25 years on the Polish market and for more than ten years in the Baltic states and Ukraine, will give us significant leverage to seize new opportunities”.

Edenred To Increase Its Stake In UTA To 83%

Following the Daimler group’s exercise of an option to sell a 15% stake in UTA at the end of December 2017, Edenred’s interest has increased to 66%. The Group has also been informed by Hermes Mineralöl GmbH, a co-founder company and a minority shareholder of UTA, of its intention to exercise its option to sell a 17% stake. This transaction is subject to approval from the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2018. Upon completion of the two transactions, Edenred will hold an 83% interest in UTA.

These operations are expected to have an accretive effect on net profit, Group share, as soon as 2017, and an unsignificant impact on the consolidated net debt.

Bertrand Dumazy, Chairman and CEO of Edenred, said, ”our increased stake in UTA is, at a time of geographic expansion’s acceleration in Eastern Europe, a significant step for the development of Fleet and mobility solutions, a major focus of our strategic plan Fast Forward.”

Edenred’s geographic expansion in Eastern Europe and its increase in UTA’s stake represent a cash-out amount of around €180 million.

AVIA Knittel Relies On Hectronic Solution

Hectronic and Gilbarco created a package and began operating the first pilot fuel service at Knittel in Hanau Steinheim after a development phase of just three-months.

AVIA Knittel was founded in 1871 and operates fuel retail network, now 64 fuel service stations under the brand name AVIA and 16 fuel service stations together with Shell. About one year and a half ago interest grew in having auto fuel terminals integrated into the fuel pump. The aim of Knittel was to define a refueling process that is familiar to the customer from ATMs

and takes away reservations about fuel terminals. To turn this solution into reality, it was necessary to work together with suppliers of fuel pumps and auto fuel terminals so as to meet the requirements of the medium-sized customers.

Hectronic seized this opportunity and was able to succeed against fierce competition. Customer requirements quickly made it clear that a joint solution needed to be offered. Hectronic and Gilbarco created a package and began operating the first pilot fuel service station at Knittel in Hanau Steinheim after a development phase of just three-months. The package includes the Gilbarco SK700-II fuel pump with an integrated HecStar CRID 10” Touch. The result was impressive. To date there are already four AVIA Xpress fuel service stations that have been successfully kitted out with the automated vending solution.

“The significant advantage of Hectronic is that we are able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility when it comes to fuel pumps. To our delight, even other medium-sized mineral oil suppliers have already shown interest in our solution,” Jens Vogel, Area Sales Manager at Hectronic.

Tritium European Headquarters Officially Opened In Amsterdam

Tritium opens sales, service, training and testing facility for Europe in Amsterdam, Netherlands as major commitment to European EV market

As part of its strategic development plan to take service, support, sales, training and manufacturing of its electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging solutions closer to customers around the world, Australia-based Tritium has announced the official opening of a European Headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The facility will be the center for its sales programme across the territory and also house a state-of-the-art training and accreditation unit for technical servicing and customer support. In addition, it has the capability to customize its product range to meet local market needs and specific customer requirements.

A major feature of the Amsterdam site is its ‘in confidence’ testing center, available for use by car manufacturers. As a privately-owned company with no strategic partnerships in the automotive sector, Tritium is able to offer comprehensive and confidential testing facilities for any automotive vehicles ‘behind closed doors’.

“The opening of this facility represents a major investment and commitment to the European market,” explains Jeroen Jonker, Tritium’s General Manager - Sales Europe, “and it’s in direct response to increased demand for our products and services from this region. In just a few years Tritium has made a significant impact in the fast-charging sector and we needed to have a local presence operational in Europe ahead of a very active year, when we’ll be launching a number of new initiatives.

“Europe offers enormous potential for Tritium and the market is extremely exciting for us. Thus far, we have been very successful in deploying charging infrastructure in the Utilities & Network sector and partnering with leading CPOs and back-end providers. The recent surge in new EV model launches in Europe has sparked increased interest in our Veefil range of 50kW Fast Chargers and Ultra-Fast Chargers (150-475kW), for both urban and corridor charging. Tritium is working closely with leading companies in the European Automotive and Petrol/Retail industry, in order to provide the best suited and most efficient fast charging solution in the market.

“We chose to base ourselves in Amsterdam because it’s central to all our key markets and has excellent transport links. It’s a modern city with a high skills base – important for us as we are actively recruiting technical and sales staff locally.”

Tritium is also in the process of building a network of service partners across Europe (who will receive specialist training and Tritium accreditation) as part of the company’s continuing development of customer support.

Amsterdam is the second overseas facility opened by Tritium in just over a year - its first international facility in Torrance, California, US opened in 2017. Four months ago Tritium moved into a larger global HQ facility in Brisbane, which has given the company the capability to increase production seven-fold.

Western Global Portable Fuel Station “Fuel Island” Launch

A ready-to-use, portable fuel station has been added to the company’s product listing. An industry leader in innovative fuel storage solutions, Western Global, has presented the Fuel Island as a ready-to-use, transportable fuel station ideal for commercial fleet refueling.

A self-contained fuel station, the Fuel Island has remote monitoring technology. Creating a turnkey solution that can be deployed immediately, it pairs Western Global’s trusted TransTank fuel tanks with the necessary components and equipment. Fuel consumption can be accurately tracked, saving time and resources for the distributor and end-user, with its integrated, cloud-based remote monitoring equipment.

Bob Lennox, Western Global’s North American Fuel Solutions Group sales lead, said “Site setup and installation time is greatly reduced compared to a conventional site-built solution, as the Fuel Islands are largely ‘ready to use’ when they arrive at the customer’s location. Our team works with the specific local authorities for the client’s site to ensure full compliance prior to setup.”

In order to ensure there is a fully compliant design for just about every jurisdiction and fuel type, the Fuel Island can be configured with either an in-cabinet or out-of-cabinet solution. Designed to fit any application and budget, customers can choose from three Fuel Island equipment packages. Every Fuel Island is delivered ready to use, since Western Global’s highly skilled operations team pre-assembles and installs all components.

The tank is at the heart of every Fuel Island. To ensure environmental safety, TransTank P-Series, from Western Global’s robust line of stationary bulk storage fuel containers has double-walled tanks with spill containment, and a lockable equipment cabinet provides added security. Making routine maintenance and inspection easy, TransTank P-Series tanks are designed with an access manway on top as well as a built-in ladder. Source: Aviation Pros

Mobile commerce is transforming the checkout process by making the payment virtually invisible. By allowing consumers to perform transactions via their phones, tablets, and cars, mobile commerce is adding a level of convenience, security, and value never before experienced by consumers.

Most retailers in various industries are taking the benefits of mobile commerce to transform the customer experience. With the introduction of mobile commerce, retailers are collecting more data on customer demographics and behaviour, utilising advanced processing capabilities on the data collected to attract and retain customers.

Fuel retailing is one industry set to benefit significantly from mobile commerce. Currently, there is a clear disconnect between what consumers want and what today’s fuel retailers provide, driving the need for mobile commerce to bridge the gap. This is the first of a three-part series on an introduction to mobile commerce. Read on to learn about the technology trends driving today’s consumer-facing industries.

The Four Technology Trends Driving Today’s Consumer-Facing IndustriesMobility and Internet of Things

Most consumers and retailers in various industries are taking the benefit of mobile computing to transform the customer experience for purchases of goods and services. With the introduction of the Internet of Things concept, we see more retailers using technology to collect more data on customer usage through wearable devices and utilising advanced processing capabilities on the data collected to attract and retain customers.

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is computing capability delivered as a utility through internet standards and protocols, commonly grouped into ‘public cloud’ and ‘private cloud’ types. Public clouds, as the name indicates, are available for anyone who wields a credit card (an example of a public cloud would be Microsoft Azure). Private clouds are meant for the exclusive use of a business or a consortium of businesses that collaborate. The cloud approach is ideal for complex fuel retailing operations, with its multi-vendor, multi-partner environment and huge volumes of data that require a combination of strict security and easy sharing with appropriate partners.

Social Media and Collaboration

With current IT infrastructure, collaboration is also difficult because there’s no convenient, shared location where multiple internal and external partners can access information stored on the corporate network. For example, it would be extremely valuable for fuel retailers to correlate consumer profiles with fuel and in-store purchases. This correlation would require marketing data tied to the purchaser’s payment event data, marketing data of an offer being accepted for in-store purchase, and payment data of the in-store purchase. Facilitating this collaboration would lead to predictive analytics becoming available to the value chain participants.

The industry is now embracing social enablers to increase worker productivity using social media technologies like status updates and notifications from social networks like Twitter and Facebook, along with real-time messaging, blogs, photo sharing, and wikis. As professionals use these

technologies to manage their personal and professional connections, the industry is adapting network-based capabilities to foster cross-discipline collaboration and to better understand and manage the fuel retailer’s operations environment.

Big Data / Analytics

The future of fuel retailing will incorporate the concepts of data mining, business intelligence and real-time event correlation to create predictive analytics from mashups. Mashups will take two forms: consumer mashups, which will combine data from multiple public sources to facilitate behavioural marketing, and data mashups, which will combine similar types of media and information from multiple sources into a single representation (e.g. new behavioural profiles, segmentations and categories).

Diving Deeper: The Disconnect Between Consumer Needs and Fuel Retailers’ Capabilities

Marketing Campaign Cost / Effectiveness

Current IT architecture limits the implementation of world-class loyalty programs and cost effective digital marketing programs by restricting the use of data. Though there may be sufficient data to enable behavioural marketing programs, architectural limitations prevent the system from being able to process that data.

The volume of information available is increasing exponentially, which is an ideal scenario for retailers. But fuel retailers are missing out on the benefits, and are unable to capture consumer data and make meaningful correlations, primarily due to a lack of data acquisition and integration.

Mobile Commerce for Fuel Retailing – an Introduction

www.fuelsexpo.com

Page 53: PREVIEW TO UNITI EXPO - Petrol World

PETROLWORLDIssue 1 2018

This data disconnect means that it’s difficult and often impossible to obtain or use data quickly and efficiently to get the information and answers needed for improved brand loyalty, trend identification, behavioural influence, and operational performance optimization.

IT Infrastructure / Upgrade / Cost of Ownership

Fuel retailers are looking for ways to reduce IT support and costs of technology upgrades. With the recent EMV liability shift, there was significant investment upgrading card readers in fuel dispensers and point of sale systems. For larger fuel retailers, the investment was significantly higher, upgrading proprietary forecourt and legacy POS systems, which will only provide minor functional changes.

The current state of IT infrastructure with most fuel retailers is they’re unable to adequately support and respond to analysis, operations and business needs. Existing IT architectures are often limited by siloed applications, poor integration, and barriers to collaboration. There is limited consumer data captured at the point of sale, and a lack of integration encumbers use of technology like complex event processing to optimise decisions and execute real-time behavioural marketing.

Compliance and Transaction Costs

With constantly changing regulations and payment card compliance mandates, like EMV technology and Payment Card Industry compliance, fuel retailers are trying to understand and manage the impacts on their business.

Mobile Payments Architecture: What’s Required and How it Should Look

Fuel retailers need to make the experience of buying fuel simpler and more effective. Using mobile commerce, retailers can increase revenue by providing better offers and bundling more value-added services to the transaction. This is made possible by analysing customer interaction patterns to provide in-context offers and providing new channels such as the connected-car to enable the consumer to search, navigate, and pay.

Key considerations:1. Breaking application siloes2. Integrated point of sale systems3. Secure mobile paymentsa. Geo-location servicesb. Identity authenticationc. Mobile wallet ready4. Connected cars5. Advanced analytics6. Flexible deployment

Fuel retailers are looking for solutions that help address these challenges. Some of these solutions will lead to access to larger amounts of data which will need to be securely stored. New technology provides many solutions to deal with these issues, but the retailer needs help to find the means to enable different applications to work together in the optimal combinations, and to fit them into their legacy estate of sites.

Considering PetroZone’s Proven Mobile Commerce Solution

“People have come to expect certain conveniences when they shop, travel, and handle their finances–such as mobile access, personalization, loyalty

tracking, and no-touch transactions,” Andrew Feinberg, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and US Restaurants and Food Service leader, said.

In order to meet customer expectations, businesses have to be constantly innovating. There’s a need for IT architecture in oil companies and merchants that provides a secure and reliable environment for customer transactions. The Microsoft Retail Fuels Marketing Reference Architecture white paper lists the guiding principles to a successful mobile commerce program, and references PetroZone as a leading solution.

PetroZone is a cloud-based mobile commerce and digital marketing solution that connects fuel retailers to their customers by enabling mobile payments and digital marketing campaigns. It provides architecture that serves as a common, reliable environment for implementation and integration of the many technologies required by a fuel retailer to help develop their future IT architecture, helping to dramatically improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness for analysis, operations, and business.

Tomorrow’s mobility will be versatile. The solution to problems concerned with the current debated issues on emissions, nitrogen oxides (NO2) and particulate matters cannot be solely provided by electric vehicles. A current German study confirms that climate protection goals in the transport sector can only be achieved by using CO2 neutral fuels (E-Fuels) such as second generation biofuels and synthethic fuels – also available are L.P. Gas, compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquified, cryogenic natural gas (LNG) as typical eco-friendly alternatives.

The supply of a wide mix of alternative and renewable fuels will be the key for future petrol station forecourts.

A significant share it is going to be handled costeffectively, by the existing infrastructure. Elaflex is up for the challenge and supplies the corresponding portfolio ‘From Terminal To Nozzle’. At Uniti Expo 2018 international visitors will gain an insight into the refuelling equipment fitting for future requirements. Our exhibition highlights:

The industry-leading ZVA Slimline 2 nozzles are suitable for all petrol and diesel fuels as well as their bio or E-fuel alternatives.

Quick and safe natural gas refuelling is ensured by the CNG product range of Oasis Ltd., a member of the Elaflex group: fill valves and nozzles, ball and

check valves, manifolds, break-away couplings and accessories.

For AdBlue® refilling, it will be presented the latest version of the ZVA AdBlue LV nozzle.

The ZVG 2 and GasGuard nozzle family for Autogas has been extended by the ZVG 2 K nozzle for the Japanese and Korean LPG market.

Elaflex is continuously expanding its LNG product range. Besides the established MannTek products (Dry Cryogenic and Break-away Couplings) we will showcase the newly developed LNG composite hose by Dantec, also a member of the Elaflex group.
